Mate, it's hardly a stolen design. There are so many differences between the two that they are clearly not the same; the arms, legs, wings, head and tail all have obvious differences. Was it inspired by your design? Yes, it certainly looks like that. But it's far from them claiming your design as their own.

It's only a stolen design if there are no differences between the two, and sorry to say, but this person has clearly just been inspired by your design.

The good old "But write it like that so the teacher won't notice you copied" kind of thing happened here. It's not a straight up stealing, it's referred more to as TRACING, but still. Everyone can go ahead copy your oc's frame all in all, add a bit or take out some details, change, in this case, how the legs look like and say, " hey! check out more of the NEW ORIGINAL MY CHARACTERS I'VE created!!! ^^"  aND You will go like "YEah! GOODjob fAM"

Honestly, you won't speak like that if this would've happened with your OC

I honestly wouldn't care unless it's something you're making money from, why worry so much about it? You haven't lost anything. Instead, you should be flattered.

And again, you can't prove that the guy copied your design. Sad day for you, but that's what can happen when you put stuff on the internet. There's nothing you can do about it.

can you shut up?

you said someone hard work deserved to be copied cause it posted on internet?
person like you shouldn't be on deviantART.
what if someone stolen your work and then said something like "when you put stuff on the internet people are free to use yours work"

So shame!
" can't prove that the guy copied your design " - i think your eyes hhave problems, go to doctor please

My point was that the moment you put something on the internet, someone can come along and take it. But you're acting as if you're shocked that someone would do that.

I HAVE looked at both your design and his. And while there ARE similarities, that's not enough to claim that he stole your design. For example, there are plenty of instances where two different car models from different makers look very similar to each other, despite being completely different designs.

Similarity does NOT equal a stolen idea.

No, sadly, the fact that if you publish your art on the internet there is always a risk of it being stolen, that's the nature of some internet people, the guy is not wrong about that, but that's all about it.

You can always prove one thing or the other if you have enough evidence of it, but if you, as a human being, don't have enough decency to respect the person and the hard work he has put into his works, we are not on the same niche, and as the artist, I don't have anything to discuss with him any further.

To me he seems like one of those people, who says that a girl should be flattered if a guy started harassing her, because she's pretty for him to notice.

So yeah, the next time someone beats you up, or someone steals your belongings, you should be glad, because the thief noticed YOU
