I love what I do. The unexpected moments when a gig knocks at my door and it's something I haven't done in awhile. Yesterday, I got the chance to do some Kaiju Puzzle Kards featuring Kong, Hedorah, Daimaijin & Gamera. These were hand drawn and colored on 2.5 X 3.5 personal sketch cards. I used florescent gel pens to help add some boldness to the markers.

Your color use on these cards is top notch. Very much a throwback to the coloring found in alternative comics from the late '70's and early '80s. Kick ass!

Thank you and I'm happy to wear the banner of "Retro-Artist". I grew up in the 70's & 80's and was heavily influenced by the animation, comics, tv and movies of that time.

Very very awesome. You really captured the action in both battles. I like how Kong is pulling pieces of Hedorah away. Makes it feel more like sludge...than the original suit conveyed.

And knowing how bloody the original Gamera movies were...I can see Gamera losing his hand to Daimaijin.

Thanks EB. The client mentioned that they wanted the Gamera and Daimaijin to be bloody. So this was the first thing that came to my mind LOL
