This is amazing! Ive lived in the city my whole life but the fountain's never looked this pretty!

One thing though, (sorry if its a moment ruiner), homeless men pee in there...alot.
fayerman's avatar
They do? Wish I could catch them doing that :)

Lol, if you took a photo and posted it it'd be gross but funny. :P

Let's try that.

I was there a few days ago! The lighting on the water and the light on that kid is stunning.

Brilliant low-light shot... what kind of lens are you using for this type of photo? (And is there a tripod involved?)
fayerman's avatar
AF-S DX NIKKOR 35mm f/1.8G

I put the cam on the concrete edge of the fountain :)

Ah; f/1.8 --that explains it. :lmao: Thank you for the answer! I have a Tamron SP AF 28-75mm f/2.8 that I use for my low-light shots.

The actual settings were 1/8s f3.5 :)

It's these kinds of photos that make me wish I was 5 again.

that kid is probably one of the happiest kids in the world at that moment.

that's a stunning moment caught on camera. i like how most of the light is concentrated around the child and everywhere else is just enveloped in the darkness of the night. again, great shot!
