FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
1. What brand of polymer clay do you use?
I use a few brands of regular polymer clay: Sculpey III, Premo!, and FIMO. I also use Translucent Liquid Sculpey (TLS) and Liquid FIMO, which are liquid clays.
2. What brand of chalk pastels do you use?
3. What tools do you use?
Toothpicks, needles, aluminum foil, several types of paintbrushes, a pasta machine, corn starch (for sticky clay), small circle cutters, and an exacto-knife.
4. How long does it take to make them?
Anywhere between 1 - 10 hours. Small/simple projects like ice cream cones and cupcakes usually take one hour. Large/complicated ones, such as fancy cakes and plates of food, almost always take over four hours.
5. Do you take commissions?
Yes! I take custom orders through my Etsy shop . If you are interested in a custom miniature food, there's a "Request Custom Order" button on the left side of my shop where you can send me a message about what you'd like me to make.
6. What camera do you use?
Nikon D5100 with a macro lens.
7. What lighting do you use?
Fluorescent camera lights for tutorials. Natural lighting for photos.
8. Can you make more tutorials??
Yes, when I have time. Each tutorial takes many hours to put together (I film, edit, and produce everything myself), so it's very difficult to find time away from schoolwork to make a quality video.
If there's already a tutorial that covers the same techniques that I use, I will most likely give you the link to it, if I can find it. You can find some tutorials in my gallery, and in my YouTube channel.
