That's... Here's a video explaining fair use in depth. It's been a bit since I've watched it, so I could be wrong, but fair use pertains to the ability to use a work without permission, under certain circumstances.

I'm only pursuing this as I feel it's in every artist's interests to understand fair use. Clearly, you're fine with it, as you stated several times. I just like to educate (or, more accurately, point towards education) when I can.
