Drizzt Do'Urden - lone by farmerownia Drizzt Do'Urden - lone by farmerownia
Drizzt Do'Urden full outfit.

You can but it on Etsy   www.etsy.com/listing/216946253…

Done... well, i cant say it was easy or smoothly work. It wasn't hard either, but i was suprised that paterns for chest plate worked for the first time.
Whole project was very important to me.... an important theme.
I am not quite happy of photosesion, we have almost no sun for few weeks, pictures was made on totaly gloomy day, and I were lucky to get those photos before start raining (now is raining constantly for over a 3 weeks and floods here and there, o i was lucky to have ANY pictures - armor goes to the client)

I thought the wig will looks better - i was wrong. but hope it looks quite ok for character - the main is still armor and cape.
when i was designing the armor back in 2008 i've chosed one Drizzt picture as a main reference. www.google.com/search?hl=en&cl…
Well.... more pictures of Drizzt are here: www.farmerownia.pl/f-cos/drizz…

Oryginal idea - todd lockwood (based mostly on his work)
Concept - Me
Armor - Me and my crew Faun-Forge
Cape - Me

Nice leather work, well done. The wig...ner... but there aren't any good masculine wigs out there for a realistic look. The crafting is excellent. LOL, and you shouldn't be shy, you look great!

Very cool and amazing skill. I am doing more of the character illustrations for rpgs, but having one of these would be very cool as well.

Ah don't be shy, I'd take you home if I found you like that...poor lost drow...grins

Ahum what I meant to say great armor, you really did an honour to one of the most loved fantasy chars and todd lockwood's art... anyway I'm faving this and despite the lighting I think for a gloomy day this picture looks decent and good.

:iconfarmerownia:

few diferent. some parts are 9-10 oz few are 4-5oz and overlapping sewed parts have even 27oz in overal.

Thanks for the reply! Ha, I can't imagine sewing through 27oz. It's frustrating enough sewing through 16, then again i'm still new at it :P

I'm gonna try to make my first piece of armor, simple breastplate (for costumes), what weight do you suggest? Maybe 5 or 6?

:iconfarmerownia:
farmerownia Featured By Owner Jun 7, 2011  Professional Artisan Crafter
5-6oz is quite slim it will work more like stiff material rather armor. but its up to you. first try material and judge yourself. Armor that keep shape need at least 8-9oz and 10-11 to be sure.
