9 Shields of Element - (The Dark Artifices Set 5)

How casting Elemental Shield works;

draw the first 2 runes ('Elemental' & 'Shield') on a surface, ideally organic, and the elements will respond with the necessary rune in-kind, summoning a protection shield adapted to the situation. Results can be guessable, but other times very random.

*this is the intended concept while the runes were being designed & subject to change by quote-un-quote official sources. I also wrote up other insights on why each element might choose your characters at any given moment. I play the elves/mages in lots of rpgs. I regret nothing. shrug.
