The Daughter of Darth Vader (part 14)

While Otto was still gone, Nyx's eyes had closed and she was resting. However unbeknownst to her, someone entered the room. The door opened and their shadow cast long inside the dark room. He stood there for a moment and then started walking towards her. Nyx was in a deep sleep and didn't hear him. He crept towards her approaching the side of her bed. He peered down at her. He stood over her and as he began to reach his arms out towards her, she started to wake up. She sifted around a little and her eyes started to open. She blinked a few times and as her vision cleared she saw this man standing over her. Her eyes shot open and she jumped very startled. He quickly moved towards her bending down putting his hand over her mouth preventing her from screaming. "Sh, sh, shh." He said in a pacifying tone keeping her under control. "This will all be over soon." Frightened she looked to the side and saw the man was holding a syringe. In a panic she struggled around trying to free herself. Her voice was muffled underneath his hand and he held her down as he administered the serum. Almost immediately she started to feel it's effects and stopped struggling. Her eyes began to close and her head rolled to the side. She fell unconscious. The man quickly got organized and picked her up off the bed. Her head hung back and her legs dangled from where he held her. He turned and headed for the door. It opened and to his surprise, Darth Vader was standing there in the doorway. He was a bit startled himself. He looked down and saw his unconscious daughter in the arms of a stranger. He drew his lightsaber. The man took a few steps back inside the room. He desperately looked for a way out. Vader approached him. "Who are you?! What have you done?!" He demanded. The man didn't answer continuing to look for a way out. He backed up further and Vader followed. As he got closer to him, he saw the man was dressed in standard issue Stormtrooper armor. There was a helmet over his head and he had weapons and other gear on his belt. "Who sent you?!" Vader demanded. The man backed up as far as he could and unable to find a way out and knowing he didn't stand a chance against the Sith lord, he swiftly drew a blade and put it at Nyx's throat. Vader stopped in his tracks. "Take another step and she gets it." He threatened. The man held the knife right up against her skin. Vader looked at her and not wanting to risk her life, he stood down. He withdrew his lightsaber and the man slowly inched around Vader towards the door. Vader watched angrily letting him pass helpless to do anything to stop him. He neared the door and quickly fled the room. As soon as he cleared the doorway, Vader reacted and yelled out in the hall, "Secure the citadel! Lock down everything!" Guards and troopers around heard and immediately took action. "There is an intruder on the grounds!" Alarms started blaring. The man ran with an unconscious Nyx jostling around in his arms. He ran though the halls of the citadel as if he knew where he was going. He looked around trying to find the right way. He kept running and left the citadel grounds. He came to one of it's spaceports. Several ships of a few different classifications were landed there and he quickly started heading for one. As he was running, out of no where a glowing red blade came whirling towards him. It hummed grazing the ground in front of him. He came to a screeching halt. Behind him Darth Vader was using the force guiding his lightsaber. It revolved around swinging back to him. The man just stood there with his back towards Vader frozen in place. Nyx was laying very limp in his arms. Vader started to walk towards him, when a series of gun shots rang out behind him. His arm blocked the shots not even fazing him. He swung his arm around swiftly turning and though the smoke he saw a man dressed in green Mandalorian armor standing atop some metal crates. He had a blaster rifle propped upwards on his shoulder holding it with one hand. Vader immediately knew who this was. "I thought it would be harder kidnapping the daughter of a Sith lord." He taunted. "And on his home turf. Turns out all it took was someone dressed as a Stormtrooper." He looked at his accomplice, who had turned around. They looked at each other for a moment and then the man dressed as a Stormtrooper hurried off towards the ship. Vader was about to go after him, when the Mandalorian blasted the ground in front of him. It stopped him in his tracks. "Uh, uh, uh." He teased laughing at Vader. "Can't have you go off and save the day when I have some much ridding on this." Vader looked over and saw the Stormtrooper entering a ship with an unconscious Nyx. "You really should get better security." The man said. "We'd have been in and out in no time if you hadn't shown when you did." He jumped down from the crates. Vader looked over and saw the ship was ready to take off. "He was right. You do have a soft spot for her." He leaned his blaster up on his shoulder. "Who are you working for?!" Vader demanded. "Oh you know, just the highest bidder." The man replied. "It's what we bounty hunters do." Vader turned his head and saw the ship was about to take off. "Sell our services to those who are willing to pay and pay well. You wouldn't believe what he's paying for this. I've never seen so many numbers in a row. And after what happened gave us the perfect time to collect." The man paused for a moment and then said, "This has been a long time coming. Just be grateful our instructions were to capture and not to kill." The ship had turned hovering a few feet off the ground about to speed away, when Vader put his arm out using the force preventing it from getting any further. It creaked stalling in mid air with exhaust emitting out the back. The man noticed Vader's determination to stop the ship and knew he had to act quickly if he wanted to keep his bounty. "Your master sends his regards." He said trying to distract him. This caught Vader's attention. He inadvertently released his grip over the ship. It quickly sped away and disappeared from sight. Vader looked up and saw it was gone. Infuriated he yelled briskly turning towards him, "What does this have to do with my master?!" "Isn't it oblivious? He's the one who sent me." The man replied. Vader was enraged and lunged at the man with his lightsaber drawn.
