Kace walked though the ship's halls angry that Kanan said all that and felt that way about Raimy. He didn't like what Kanan said and he was angry with him that he felt such hatred towards her. All he felt for her was love and was willing to do whatever it took to get her back. Kace was walking with his head titled downwards looking at the ground with an irritated expression on his face when he past someone who thought he looked familiar. The man stopped watching Kace from behind and then said, "Hey." Kace stopped and the man said, "Aren't you that guy who always stayed side by side with that Sith girl, Nyx?" Kace clenched his fists thinking this man was just another rebel who hated Raimy and he swiftly turned around and said in a harsh voice, "Her name is Raimy! Now I don't know who are you and frankly I don't really care, but you and the others better stop talking down about her or I swear I will come down on you like nothing you've ever seen before." A little while later after talking with Hera, Kanan was walking though the ship and pasted an opened door. He sensed someone inside and backed up to the doorway. Kace was laying stretched out on the cot. Kanan noticed to the side there were supplies and other gear piled together. He knew something was up and walked inside. Kace noticed him and turned his head. "Hey. Why aren't you out with the rest of us?" Kanan asked. "We are working on a plan to counter the empire's last attack. We have some new information." "I'm not a rebel, remember?" Kace replied in a despondent voice. He turned his head back forwards looking upwards and Kanan glanced over at the supplies gathered together. "You going somewhere?" Kanan asked. "There's nothing for me here anymore." Kace answered. "It's time for me to move on and forget all this ever happened." "You're leaving?" Kanan asked. Kace didn't say anything and Kanan said, "But the empire is still out there and they know who you are." "It doesn't matter."

Ezra walked though the ship and into his bunk. He sat down on the bed feeling very downhearted. Kanan then came in. "Hey, are you okay?" He asked standing in the doorway. Ezra didn't reply and Kanan walked further in. "Sabine told me you're really worried about Rex. It's okay to be worried. I am too, but you can't let it overwhelm you to the point where you can't do anything about it." Ezra still didn't say anything and Kanan said, "As much I don't like it either, we have to keep on fighting with or without him, but we will do everything we can to get him back." "That's just it, Kanan." Ezra said looking up at him. "Everything we have isn't good enough. There was a time I though we had a chance against the empire. Now I'm not so sure." Kanan was a bit surprised to hear this and he sat down next to him. "You saw how big that last attack was and we lost so much. We've fought the empire before, but never like that. They're getting bigger and bigger each day as we're just fighting to try a

Back at their ships, Kanan, Ezra and Sabine were walking towards the rest of the rebels when Kanan said, "That place didn't look welcoming. I think we should stay far away from it." "Hey! Why did you look at me when you said that?" Ezra asked offended. "Cause he knows if you had the chance you'd go check it out." Sabine replied joking around. Ezra scowled and Kanan said, "I wasn't look at him.. Ugh! Just stay away from it till we know more." Ezra and Sabine stopped as Kanan continued. "So you wanna scout out the area some more with me?" Sabine asked. Ezra looked over towards the makeshift tent where the rebels were all scattered around as Sabine continued, "It isn't much to look at, but there's tons of scrap metal. You know how the rebellion loves their loose parts." Sabine rolled her eyes sarcastically and continued, "All this stuff laying around, we might find something worth looking at." Ezra didn't reply. Meanwhile....
Far away on the remote planet of Iokath located in the unknown regions of Wild Space, the rebels had regrouped and were now trying to find a place to lay low and figure out a new plan. "Why are we here?" Ezra asked walking off the ship. "Won't the empire find us?" "No." Kanan replied walking past him carrying crates and other equipment. "Iokath is near pretty much the end of the galaxy and all it's inhabitants were wiped out due to some weapon. The planet survived though and makes a good place to lay low. The empire thought it was destroyed, but it wasn't, at least not entirely and what's left is.." Ezra looked around at the rocky, semi industrial terrain noticing everything was either destroyed or overtaken by scattered plant life. "Not many people know of this place and it's atmosphere doesn't allow much to grow." Kanan set down the crates and continued, "We can breathe here, that's about it. We didn't even know about it until we came across it on our charts." "And it's

Still looking down at the imperial badge, Raimy sighed realizing she wasn't going to be able to solve this problem right now. She slipped it into her pocket and looked up still standing near the giant waterfall. She decided to look around some more. She began walking on the stone pathway past the waterfall and though the greenery. She enjoyed the garden very much, but right now she wasn't in that much of a cheery mood. She just didn't know what to do and it was getting to her now more than ever. She could hear the gentle sound of water flowing as she walked on the path and there were tons more plants and flowers of all different shape, size and color. However, Raimy wasn't paying much attention and was just walking with her head tilted down looking at the stone pathway. Light shown in above and all around though the trees and she just kept on walking. She walked on a winding stone trail and then strayed off going onto smaller dirt trails. She kept walking from trail to trail with only

Raimy's thoughts during her time at the palace. Between seeing Rex and getting the ID card from Vicente. (Not all just standing there at the waterfall.)
Now alone in the Room of a Thousand Fountains, Raimy was overwhelmed and unsure how to proceed. She felt very conflicted with all that's happened and she didn't know whether to believe Vicente or not. He said Sidious trusted her. Even though she kind of already knew that and she suspected something was going on, hearing it was somehow different. She didn't know why it felt this way, but for some reason it felt real now. Like there was no going back and what she had done was now permanent. And the ID card Vicente gave her only strengthened the belief she was now more obligated to the imperial regime than ever before. Like so many times before, Raimy didn't know the full extent of what she was getting into when she took off in the imperial shuttle with Sidious. She didn't think before acting and now she was in a very difficult position.

"For centuries Jedi and their Padawans have come here for meditation and deep reflection in the force." Vicente said as he and Raimy walked on the stone path though the greenery. "It has served as a tranquil, undisturbed spot for the Jedi long ago when this palace used to be a temple. Many Jedi have come here and many have trained here." Raimy continued to look around as Vicente was talking. "They come for relaxation and the peaceful surroundings allowed them to put everything else aside and concentrate on only that of the force. The force is strong within this garden. Many Jedi masters visited this place to deepen their connection with the living force and their energy remains to this day. And in times of great distress, council members, at the time congregated here to reflect and devise a strategy on which to proceed. It is considered a safe haven for all who enter." Raimy was listening but still gazing around at the beauty all around her. She couldn't believe a place like this exist

Raimy and Vicente continued to walk though the palace halls going down many corridors passing many people. They went up some staircases, then back down again and eventually Raimy was getting a little annoyed. "Ugh. How far do we have to go?" She groaned. "We've been walking for like an hour." Vicente smiled and said, "Not too far. We're almost there." "I thought we were going back to my room?" Raimy asked confused. "That was the initial plan, but since you said you need to concentrate hard on our emperor's state of health, I decided to take you to a place that's a little more relaxing and suitable for such things." Vicente replied. Raimy was curious as to where that might be and they continued walking. They went though a few more halls, down a couple more staircases and then came to a room at the end of a hall that was guarded by two royal guards. They approached and the guards stood at attention. Raimy wasn't sure where they were and was a little uncertain about the situation. "In her

"What happened that made you so unnerved?" Vicente asked as he and Raimy were walking down the palace halls. "You were fine when we last spoke." "I, uh.. got a visit from someone." Raimy replied sounding a little uneasy. "So someone was inside your room." Vicente said sounding a little surprised. "Yeah. I thought you already knew that." Raimy said looking up at him. "I wasn't certain and you were mumbling things that didn't make any sense." Vicente said. "I needed to figure out what was wrong." "Yeah. Sorry about that." Raimy said. "I was just scared. I guess what Governor Pryce said hit me pretty hard." "So it was Governor Pryce who was inside your room." Vicente said sounding surprised again. "Yeah. I thought you already knew that too." Raimy said looking up at him once more. "It was just a hunch." Vicente said. "I spoke with her soon after seeing you in that state and she showed a quite large disapproval of you." "Yeah.." Raimy said uneasily. "I did some things to her back on Lothal

Raimy and Vicente walked into the palace, though a few of the halls and went into one of the small hospitals within the palace. He guided her and she just went with him still in a bit of a dazed state. They entered and he sat her down on one of the beds. "I'm going to go find someone to help you." He said to her. He then quickly turned as Raimy just sat there staring forwards with a bit of a downhearted look on her face with her hand pressed up against her arm. Almost right away one of the doctors came over with Vicente. He bent down gently taking Raimy's hand off her arm. He saw the wound and quickly looked down in his medical bag that he brought with him pulling out strips of gauze and something to clean it with. He instantly started working wiping the skin and wrapping the white strips around her arm. As he was doing this Raimy was still as a statue with her eyes drooping just looking forwards. After a few minutes he was finished and her wound was cleaned and wrapped. "She'll be fin

He doesn't like me wandering around aimlessly, but what can he do? He's busy with imperial matters and this palace is huge. He would never find me." Raimy smiled slightly and he said, "Plus I'm old enough to make my own decisions. I've been here long enough to know what not to do." Raimy smiled thinking they may have something in common. "So who do you work here as? If you're not an officer." She asked. He looked over at her and said, "You know, you've asked me a lot of questions and yet you haven't told me anything about yourself." Raimy smiled and said, "Fair enough." He smiled back and Raimy looked back forwards. He was kind of curious about who she was. "So.." He then said. "Are you going to tell me anything?" Raimy looked over at him and he said, "Like who you are and what you're doing here. I mean you don't look like the normal folk I usually see around here." Raimy looked back forwards unsure whether she should tell him who she really is. He noticed her expression and said, "No. I didn't mean it like that. Like you're not normal or anything." Raimy smiled and said looking up at him, "No. It's okay. I know what you mean. I don't fit in around here. I know that. I sorta just got here like yesterday or something." "Or something?" He asked. "You mean you don't when you got here?" Raimy smiled and said, "I'm not really on Coruscant's timeline yet. I've been to so many planets recently I can't keep track." "I hear that." He said with a smirk. "I recently went to the planet Sullust to oversee mining and fuel extraction seeing as it's rich in those types of resources with my father as kinda a trial run to see how I do. I wasn't put in charge of anything. I was just there to watch and obverse and learn what the empire is all about and why they need this planet. It was once liberated, but imperial forces regained control after they employed a counter attack." He paused for a moment and then said, "My point is they have, like all planets a different schedule of how they calculate time and all that than here so it took me a few days to get used to the new schedule and then when I got back I was like sleeping turning the day and not at night. I think I missed training for a couple of days. So my dad was really angry with me about that. So that had me all messed up, so I get what you mean." Raimy smiled. "But it was kinda cool there. There were streams of reddish orange lava, which is only cool if you see them from a distance and then there were these gorgeous turquoise lakes and some really neat types of plants and animals and the atmosphere is kinda really toxic in some places, so there were all these technologically advanced cities.." He noticed Raimy was just looking at him with a smile on her face. "Sorry." He said with a slightly embarrassed laugh. "You probably don't wanna hear all that." "No. It's okay." Raimy said. "I like hearing about different kinda planets and people's adventures on them." The man smirked. "Though I've never been to Sullust before. I've heard of it, but don't know much about it." "It's not the best place to visit." The man said. "Conflicts there are like everlasting, both natural and man made. Plus a volcanic environment and toxic atmosphere doesn't exactly say vacation spot. It's mainly only used for mining and some ship export and trading." "Those turquoise lakes sound cool." Raimy said. "If they're really that color I'd like to see them." "Cause I see you like blue." The man said looking at her clothes. Raimy looked down for a moment and then back up and he said, "But if you really like that sorta thing, I'd recommend Mon Cala. The whole planet is literally covered in oceans. Some of the cities are even built under the water." Raimy listened as he continued, "Even the planet Rishi is tropical with lots of beautiful oceans and plants, but I find it to be too hot and sticky, plus it's a hotbed for pirates and criminal activity, so I wouldn't recommend going there in your free time." "Wow. Seems like you've been to and know about a lot of different planets." Raimy said. "Yeah I guess. More or less." He replied. "I've never actually been to Mon Cala or Rishi, but I've learned a lot about them since they are not really part of the empire and the empire wants to expand their forces to those places. I've gotten a mouth full on places like that where the empire wants to go, but can't due to it's government or whatever. But they are doing what they can to secure those planets under the empire, so I've had to sit though and learn about all that." "Yeah, I know what it's like to have to sit though long, extensive sessions about stuff you don't really care about." Raimy said. He turned towards her intrigued and she said, "When I was little, I was made to learn about pretty much everything having to do with the empire. From planets and their history, to hyperspace routes and places the empire controls." "Wow. That's a lot of information." The man said. "Yeah, you're not kidding me." Raimy said with a smile. "The empire controls pretty much everything, so it's kinda hard to know where to start and then remember it all. Which I don't, if you were wondering." The man smiled and then said putting his hand out, "I'm Jaeden." Raimy looked at it for a moment and then said shaking his hand, "Raimy." He smiled and said standing up, "I wanna show you something." Raimy looked at him for a moment, smiled standing up.
Back on Coruscant at the imperial palace in the Room of a Thousand Fountains, Raimy had gotten up and was exploring the garden some more. Even though she was still a little upset and uncertain on what to do, she knew sitting around moping wouldn't do her any good. About three hours had past since Vicente left and Raimy was just wandering around on the stone and dirt pathways though the plants. There were many more types of flowers and trees and being in there hearing the gentle sound of water flowing made her feel a little better. She walked with her head tilted downwards and it seemed as though she winded around the entire complex. At the end of one walkway, she saw a bright light shining though an open door. She stopped for a moment and then continued walking towards it. Once she got to the doorway, she looked out and saw there was an outside part of the garden. She stopped in the doorway looking out at the dazzling light and the exquisite plant life and decor. She started walking out. The sun was shinning brightly above and it looked like she was at the foot of the palace. She looked up at it towering above her squinting in the sunlight. There were many people walking outside the gates to the garden and many hovercrafts were speeding by. There were two roads going in either direction that the vehicles were on and on both sides there were open streets and walkways for the people. The one sidewalk backed up right at the edge of the palace. Shops and cafes lined the street adjacent to the one next to the garden and there were signs and lights everywhere. The vertical bars of the gates stood fairly high where no one could get in, but they were spread a few inches from one another so you could easily see out. It seemed to be near the far end of the palace facing more of the palace grounds. It looked and felt very natural and serene. Raimy walked over to one of the benches facing the bustling city. She sat down and looked out seeing people going about all different things. She signed lowering her head downwards a little still feeling very unsure about what to do. There were potted plants on either side of the bench and trees all around. Flowers grew in the many small gardens and more waterfalls were flowing. The stone walkway circled around the yard and small dirt paths strayed off. Some of them lead over to the waterfalls and trees, while others just stopped at the base of the palace. All the paths winded around in a very picturesque, defined way and the greenery was all arranged very elegantly. Raimy looked downwards at the ground still only able to think of Sidious and what Vicente had said. Not to mention Kace and the rebellion. She wanted to go back to him, but didn't know how to get out of the palace. She looked up and saw a slightly lower part of the fence where she could easily jump over. She looked at what was beyond that and it was just open street where dozens of people were bustling around. She thought no one would see her if she just jumped the fence and disappeared within the crowd. But then she thought, "How would I get off Coruscant?" She had no idea where she was and she would somehow have to get a ship. There's got to be a place that sells them somewhere around here or someone's just laying around. Since she didn't have anything to pay for it with, she would either have to steal it or mind trick someone into giving her one. That would be easy enough, especially with all these people around and then she could fly off Coruscant and away from Sidious and the empire. Raimy thought about this hard and considered doing it. This might be her chance to get out. She was about to stand up when she heard movement behind her and someone mutter, "Oh.." She instantly turned standing up slightly and saw a man dressed in imperial clothes. She thought it was an imperial officer and she sat back down. "I, uh.. this is usually my spot." He said walking towards her a little. Raimy rolled her eyes with her head turned forwards irritated by his tone. She stood up from the bench and was about to walk away when the man approached her further. Still standing behind her, he briefly saw her from the front and said, "But I wouldn't mind some company." Raimy smiled slightly and went and sat back down. She thought that maybe when he left she could escape. "Sorry about that." The man said approaching her further. "I just don't usually see people out here." He approached her walking to the other side of the bench and she squinted in the bright sunlight looking up at him. As she got a closer look at him, he didn't look to be an imperial officer. In fact he looked about her age. He noticed the funny look on Raimy's face as she was looking at him directly in the sunlight. He smiled. "Once again, I'm sorry." He said sitting down on the other side of the bench. "I didn't mean to sound childish." She looked at him sitting down and now in the shade she could see he was wearing half an imperial uniform. His pants and boots were of standard issue, but his shirt was a short sleeved plain grey t-shirt, similar color to the pants and he had no belt or gloves on. His shirt was untucked and it hung down a little below the waist. There was no insignia plaque on his shirt as he wasn't wearing the customary suit and he wasn't wearing an imperial cap. His hair was brown and he had a few bracelets on his wrists. He didn't look all that official. Raimy looked back forwards unsure what to say and he said, "Beautiful, isn't it?" Raimy looked up and he said, "I come here as much as I can to take in this amazing garden and to look over the busy, yet still very captivating surroundings. I find it very relaxing and peaceful here." Raimy looked back downwards still unsure what to say and he said, "To see ordinary people going about their day to day jobs and to see what goes on outside the palace." Raimy looked up again slightly and he said looking over towards her, "And in all the times I've been here I've never seen you." She looked up at him and their eyes met. She was still unsure what to say and he had a friendly smile on his face. "I, uh.." Raimy murmured in a shy, withdrawn manner. "I'm just visiting." He noticed this and said, "Well you must be someone quite important to be invited here." Raimy didn't say anything just looking back forwards feeling kind of awkward. "Not a lot of people get the chance to come here. Not enough people if you ask me. I say everyone should get the opportunity to enjoy this place. It's certainly big enough." Raimy looked up slightly as he continued, "But no, imperial rules and security and all that. If you ask me they go way overboard on all their rules. I mean we're in no danger here. No one in their right mind would even think of disobeying the laws, but they still enforce them to the utmost. That's good, I guess. Keeps the peace." Raimy looked over at him and he leaned back on the bench looking straight forwards with his arm stretched out on the wooden frame. She thought this guy was sort of interesting and she was kind of curious about who he was. "You don't seem like an imperial officer." She said in a low, timid voice. He looked over at her and said, "That's cause I'm not. That is not yet. I'm in training to become one. Lieutenant or captain of something if I'm really lucky. But as of now I'm still too young to do anything really important." "You look to be my age." Raimy said. Still looking at her he turned towards her a little more and asked, "And who might you be questioning my place?" Raimy looked back forwards unsure what to say not wanting to tell him who she is. There were a few moments of silence as he just looked at her wondering who she was. He then smiled and said sitting back up facing the city, "That's okay. You don't have to tell me. Everyone is entitled to their privacy." Raimy smiled slightly appreciative of his kindness.
Now I don't know who are you and frankly I don't really care, but you and the others better stop talking down about her or I swear I will come down on you like nothing you've ever seen before." The man was a bit startled by his outburst and he said, "Whoa. Calm down. I was never involved in anything negative about her. In fact she saved my life once." Surprised, Kace backed off and the man said, "I just thought I recognized you from before roaming around in one of the ships or something. It really didn't look like you knew what you were doing." Kace scowled and the man approached him, "I'm Alexsandr Kallus, former agent of the empire. And now that I get a closer look, you are the one who was always with Nyx." "Raimy. Her name is Raimy." Kace said in a less angry tone. "Oh yes. Of course." Kallus said. "Sorry, I knew her when she was called Nyx. I didn't know she changed her name." Kace wasn't sure about this guy and asked, "What do you want?" "Nothing. Like I said I just thought I recognized you and I've known RAIMY for quite some time." Kallus answered. Curious, Kace stayed and listened. "We knew each other back when she was with the empire on Lothal. She's the one who got inside my head and told the empire that I was secretly helping the rebellion." Kace was a bit surprised and Kallus continued, "As Fulcrum when I was feeding them intel. She might have even told the empire the location of their base." Kace wasn't sure what he was talking about and Kallus said noticing his confused look, "Right that was before your time. You don't know anything about what happened there. You only joined when she came aboard." "I didn't join anything." Kace said. "I'm not a rebel and I never will be. So just leave me alone." Kace was about to turn and walked away when Kallus said, "She saved me from an imperial prison camp." This caught Kace's attention and Kallus said, "Granted she was the reason I ended up there for exposing me and all, but as soon as she found out she rushed to my aid. She saved me from a life of chippin' away at rocks and slowly dying. She got me out and in the process had a fierce lightsaber duel with her father." "Are you talking about Darth Vader?" Kace asked. "He is not her father. He killed her parents." Kallus looked a bit surprised and he said, "Wow. I really got a lot to catch up on." "No you don't." Kace said about to walk away. "You are one of them now and she doesn't want anything to do with people who constantly criticize her for who she is. So just go back and do whatever it was you were doing before." "I told you, I wasn't part of that." Kallus said. "I admire her strength and willpower to stand up to the most dangerous Sith lord in the galaxy. I was there many times when she spoke out against Vader and I have never heard someone speak so freely to someone like him. It was like she wasn't scared of him at all." Kace turned back towards Kallus and he said, "Anyways, when we got back to the rebel base I was talking to her thanking her for the rescue when we got interrupted. And I haven't seen her since. There was something I needed to tell her." "Yeah, well you won't find her here." Kace said. "She's gone back to the empire." "What again?" Kallus said surprised. "She changed sides again?" Kace didn't say anything and Kallus said, "Why'd she go back after everything they did to her?" Kace still didn't say anything and Kallus said, "After all that trauma she went though cause of her fath... Vader I wouldn't think she'd ever go back to them." "She isn't with Vader anymore." Kace said. "She's with someone much worse." "There is only one person in this galaxy that is worse then Darth Vader." Kallus said starting to realize who he was talking about. "She's with his master, Emperor Palpatine, isn't she?" Kace didn't respond just looking to the side and Kallus said astounded, "Why in the galaxy would she go to him? He is literally the worst person who ever lived." "She thinks they have a connection to one another." Kace said. "He brought her to a place where she got everything she wanted. She says he was kind to her and that he never once hurt her. She grew to trust him and now she can't make herself fight against him." "Well that's the Sith for ya." Kallus said. "Deceitful and manipulative. Especially the emperor." "She thinks they have some kind of connection to one another." Kace said. "They probably do." Kallus said. "They are both Sith trained in the dark arts and during her time as Darth Vader's daughter, he checked up on them a lot to see how things were going. He might have even trained her in some way." "She never told me that." Kace said. "She probably doesn't remember." Kallus replied. "It was when she was younger and just starting out as Darth Vader's apprentice. And I once heard something that said he even knew her before Vader took her from her family. That they had some sort of mental connection though the force that she wouldn't even know was there. Something that formed soon after she was born." Kace was greatly surprised  and asked, "Wait, how do you know all this?" "I have served the empire ever since I can remember and I served right beside significant people, including Darth Vader." Kallus said. "Word gets around." "But how do I know you're telling the truth?" Kace asked skeptical. "You were with them for a very long time and you could just be lying." "Yes, I stayed with them for a long time." Kallus said. "But once I saw what they were truly capable of and the lengths they will go to to assume full control, I turned on them almost right away. I couldn't bare to see all that horror. Plus I'm part of the rebellion now and all the others trust me, so there's no reason why I would lie to you." Kallus paused for a few moments as Kace thought about this and then he said, "Now I could be wrong, but I'm not lying. It's just what I heard. And there are other things I heard as well." "What kind of things?" Kace asked. "Well.." Kallus began, but was interrupted by a loud explosion outside which rattled the ship. "What was that?!" Kallus asked urgently regaining his footing. He and Kace quickly ran outside and saw they were under attack.
A little while later after talking with Hera, Kanan was walking though the ship and pasted an opened door. Kace didn't say anything and Kanan said, "But the empire is still out there and they know who you are." "It doesn't matter." Kace responded forlorn. "It's time I get back to Cloud City and my parents." "You can't go back there." Kanan said. "Imperial forces are scattered all around the city. It's been a few months since you were last there, but after finding out there were rebels operating out of the city, they're not going anywhere. They'll notice you right away." Kace didn't say anything and it didn't seem like he cared much about that. Kanan sighed realizing what this was about and said, "Look I miss her too.." Right as he heard this he instantly turned his head. "But.." "You don't miss her." Kace said sitting up in an irked voice interrupting him. "You are the reason she left. You locked her up. Told her it was best if she stays out of sight. That is until things cool down." Kace was getting defensive and a bit angry and he said standing up, "Well are things cool enough for you, Kanan? Cause she's gone again and this time she's right beside the most evil person in the galaxy. For all we know she could be in a prison cell right now being tortured for your guys actions and for all you've gone against the empire. She's paying for your actions and you wanna know what the best part is? She doesn't even know anything about the rebellion, so there's nothing she can give them. You never even gave her a chance. You just locked her up every time it suited you and everyone else treated her like she wasn't even someone real and that she didn't feel things or have emotions. That she was just a cold hearted killer like the rest of them and you could walk all over her like she was no one. You and the rest of the rebellion treated her like dirt and I don't wanna be around people who treat other people that way." Kace walked past Kanan heading for the door when he said, "Well what did you expect us to do?" Kace stopped. "She's a Sith, raised by one of the most feared Sith lords and grew up on one of the Sith home worlds. We couldn't just accept her into the rebellion as if she was just like everyone else. Cause she's not, Kace. She's dangerous and the force within her is unpredictable and very unstable." Kace didn't say anything. He just stood there with an angry look on his face and his back towards Kanan listening. "You saw what happened when she destroyed those ships out in space and almost made the entire hanger collapse. Her anger fuels her and when she wants something really badly the darkness inside her takes over. I have never seen someone able to cause that much destruction and certainly not out in space. That shouldn't even be possible. And then in the hanger. She could have flattened all of us and she's even able to do things when she's asleep. She hurt so many of us while she was having that dream and not just with the force. That new energy blast thing burned the skin right off a few of us. If we had gotten closer, it would have killed us. I've never seen something that strong. She was in a vortex of dark energy. A bubble surrounded her and anyone or anything that got in it's way was disintegrated. Those rebels have the wounds to prove it." Kace still didn't say anything just looking forwards angry. "She also made everyone feel all strange which delayed our departure putting us behind schedule. We were only trying to help her and she resisted and fought with us too. What happened there wasn't her fault, I know, but everything else was." "And what about all the times she sacrificed herself for the rebellion and what she did to help the rebellion?" Kace asked swiftly turning back around. "You are only listing the bad things she did, but there were so many more good things. She continuously gave herself to the empire when the rebellion couldn't get itself out. Even when it really hurt her. She always thought about others and the only reason she met Sidious in the first place and learned that dark stuff was because she was trying to keep Ezra away from the dark side. She knew it was pulling at him and she didn't want to see him fall down that path. She didn't want to see him go down a path that he could never return from. Cause she knows what that's like and she did it anyway. I don't know what you call that, but I call that loyalty and true friendship. And people like that are very hard to find in this torn up galaxy." Kanan didn't know what to say. He just stood there knowing he was technically right. Kace then turned heading for the door, but before he left he stopped and said in a hateful voice over his shoulder, "Maybe I'll just have to sell you guys out so I can see her again." Kanan was very surprised by this. "Or that might have already been done for me." Kanan was startled unsure what Kace was talking about. He then looked back forwards and continued walking leaving the room.
They're getting bigger and bigger each day as we're just fighting to try and stay alive." Kanan didn't say anything. Ezra sighed and said, "I don't know. It just seemed different. I guess I've just never seen the empire attack like that and it all happened so fast. It just seems like what we're doing isn't making any difference and as we keep doing this more and more people die. I mean we already lost Rex, our ships, weapons.." "Her." Kanan said cutting in. Ezra looked up at him and he said, "I know you cared about her a lot and I think she felt the same. Or she did her best to feel the same. It's not easy living the way she had and then out of nowhere suddenly come out of it. Things in life aren't that simple." "But she was coming out of it, Kanan." Ezra said. "I saw her in the hanger trying to save someone's life. I saw her do everything she could and then Sidious.." "Sidious?!" Kanan said surprised. "He was there?!" Ezra didn't say anything and Kanan asked, "Why didn't you tell me?" "I didn't get the chance." Ezra replied. "I was going to, but everything was just going so fast." "What happened?" Kanan asked. "He saved his life." Ezra replied. "Sidious saved that man's life. And it was David. The one we've been talking to." Kanan looked very surprised and Ezra said, "Yeah I know, weird. I felt the same way." "David didn't mention anything about Sidious or that he even got hurt. Did Sidious say anything to you?" Kanan asked. "All he said was that he wasn't going to hurt me and then he healed him." Ezra replied. "It was really weird and David probably doesn't remember. He was in really bad shape. He looked like he was going to die. It was like Sidious did it cause he wanted to help him. Like he actually didn't want him to die. Raimy went to go find out why he did it and she never came back." Shocked, Kanan thought about this for a few moments trying to figure out why a Sith lord would do something like that. "I wonder why she went back with them again." Ezra said. "She wanted nothing to do with the dark side and she just went back with no second thought." "It's hard to turn away from your roots." Kanan told him. "She was raised under all that by a Sith lord lead to believe power was everything and nothing else mattered. The exact opposite of what Jedi are taught. So when the opportunity came for her to choose, she just went back to what she knew cause she didn't know any different." "But the empire has hurt her so many times." Ezra said. "And she knows how much pain they cause to everyone else in the galaxy. Why would she willingly go back to something like that?" "Maybe she didn't want to, but felt like she didn't have a choice." Kanan replied. "She felt lost and afraid and wanted to, but couldn't see another way and didn't know how to change the way she looked at the world. And that drove her right back to where she started." Ezra didn't say anything and Kanan said, "Lost. Kinda like when we ran into you for the first time." He nudged him with his elbow and Ezra smiled slightly remembering what happened when they first met. "Hey, I wasn't lost." He said offended. "I was doing just fine until you guys stepped in and stole what I was stealing from the empire. If anything you guys were the ones who got in my way." Kanan smiled and said, "Yeah. Let's just call it a draw." Ezra smiled slightly and then asked, "So, what are we going to do about Rex and the other rebels that were captured? We have to try and save them, right?" Kanan didn't answer unsure how they should proceed and Ezra said again, "We are going to save them, right?" "We don't know where they are being held." Kanan told him. "And even if we did we would never be able to pull off a successful rescue mission." "But you said the rebellion is going to do everything they can to get them out." Ezra said. "We will. It's just now isn't the best time." Kanan said. "We can't go up against the empire so soon after what happened." "He might not have much longer." Ezra said. "He could die in imperial custody and we can say that we did absolutely nothing to help." "Ezra, we have no idea where they went." Kanan said. "He could be anywhere in the galaxy by now." "Think Raimy knows?" Ezra asked. Kanan sighed and said, "Even if she did we have no way of contacting her. We don't know where she went either." "Well she got on a ship with the emperor, right?" Ezra said. "And he is sick and where would someone as important as him go for treatment?" Kanan thought for a moment and then said, "The capital of the empire, Coruscant." Ezra nodded in agreement and Kanan asked, "Wait, why do you think he's sick?" "I could see wounds on his face and hands and I could sense something wasn't right." Ezra replied. "Not to mention the way he was acting. I've never heard of a Sith lord do something like that." Kanan thought about this for a few moments and then said, "Sidious, sick? If that's true then the entire empire will be in turmoil. Everything will be disorganized and there will be a lot of confusion going around. Maybe those rebels had something when they said attack now." "I thought we already had a plan though." Ezra said. "And we can still go though with that, but maybe we can move things around a little bit." Kanan replied. "With Sidious out of the way and the imperial day celebration coming up, we could do a lot of damage on Coruscant. And maybe with a little luck take a big step towards freedom. Bigger than we ever thought possible." "Isn't that dangerous though?" Ezra said. "Like those rebels said out there, there's going to be a lot of security at something like that. How would be even get in?" "It's risky, I'll admit that. We may not even have to hit Coruscant. Maybe other smaller outposts that we couldn't get to before." Kanan said. "But this could be the break we've been looking for." "I'm not even totally sure he is sick." Ezra said. "I only saw him for a few minutes. The entire rebellion can't rely on what I saw." "You said you could sense something was off though the force?" Kanan asked. "Yeah. Lighter. Not as dark." Ezra replied. "There wasn't as much darkness around him as like when we could sense Darth Vader from space. It wasn't as cold and the way he spoke was different than I would have imagined. And after he healed David, I think he also seemed a bit unstable. Like he was dizzy or something." There were a few moments of silence as Kanan thought about this and then he said, "Actions of a desperate man. That's why he did what he did. He needs Raimy's help and healing David took the last of his strength. He knew he was sick and needed to do something drastic to change that. He's luring her over with compassion and generosity. Something no one would expect a Sith lord to do. He knows she wouldn't go with him any other way. He may be the dark lord of the Sith with all the power, but he's still human and susceptible to illness." "So you think she didn't go with him cause she wanted to?" Ezra asked. "I think she's being tricked and whatever Sidious has planned for her is going to be bigger than anything we've ever seen." Kanan replied. "Isn't that all the more reason to try and get Raimy out?" Ezra asked. "We'd be stopping Sidious' plan and at the same time saving her." "That is only one possibly." Kanan replied. "We don't know for sure Coruscant is where they went or even if something is wrong with Sidious. I don't doubt your connection to the force, but right now like you said, we can't rely on it. We can't just rush in there without knowing the truth. You may be onto something though. It's a start and that's good enough for now." Ezra didn't say anything. "And even if we did know for sure and they are there, it wouldn't do us any good. We don't know where on Coruscant and the entire planet is under imperial rule. We wouldn't get anywhere, at least not until we know more." "One time you told me the force connects all living things." Ezra said. "What if we can use that to contact Raimy? Talk with her though the force and she can tell us where it's safe to go and also if she knows anything." "Assuming she wants to come back." Kanan said. The expression on Ezra's face instantly turned upside down and Kanan said, "If they did go to Coruscant, that's pretty big meaning she's probably got some say in the situation and if she's getting that kinda power.." "She what, Kanan?" Ezra asked abruptly with anger in his voice. "That she would rather be there than here with friends and people who care about her? That she would rather be alongside killers." Kanan didn't say anything still questioning his Padawan's outlook. "No. She wouldn't do that. She wouldn't do that to us." "All I'm saying is she went back to them for a reason, Ezra." Kanan said. "Maybe this time it's for good and we have more important things to do right now. We can't worry about someone who doesn't want our help." "How can you say that?" Ezra said angrily standing up. "She's good. She's one of us. She wants our help and I want to do everything I can to save her." "But that might lead you down the wrong path, Ezra." Kanan said standing up as well. "Remember what happened with Ahsoka?" Ezra thought for a few moments remembering how he turned to the darkness for more power to use against the empire. "That was different. I can control it now." Ezra said. "I've grown a lot since then." Kanan stood in front of him and said with a friendly smile, "I know you have, but there's just some things we shouldn't mess with." "But Raimy controls it." Ezra said. "She can teach me how and then we will have twice the power to use against the empire." "I said no, Ezra!" Kanan said in a louder tone. Ezra flinched back a little startled and Kanan sighed and said in a softer tone, "Look Ezra, I just don't want you getting hurt. There is so much we don't know about the dark side. So much danger and destruction lurks within it. And I know you know that. You've known that ever since you first opened yourself up to the force. I want to rescue her as much as you do, but there's somethings we just cannot risk." Ezra looked to the side thinking about this and Kanan said, "Right now I need to go talk to Hera about what you told me and we will find a way to free Rex and the others and after that we'll see." He put his hand on Ezra's shoulder. He looked up at him for a moment, but was still very keen on finding Raimy.
