What is this group?
This is a group for artists and lovers of canines - to collect fantastic art, to showcase talented artists, to host events, to encourage feedback, critique and artistic inspiration and growth, and in general to create a warm and fun community for canine artists!
Who can join?
Anyone can join, requests to join members are automatically accepted. Joining will ensure you don't miss journals and events from the group, as well as all the awesome art coming through.
What kind of art does the group accept?
While we accept nearly any media type imaginable, we do seek out art that meets a certain level of quality. There is a submission limit of 3 per day, for now. All submissions to the group will be judged before acceptance, and the group will only accept art which looks like effort has been placed into it. We DO want: images that display technical artistic skill, tell a story, evoke emotion, and look like they had effort put into them. We do NOT want: sketches on lined paper, blurry or obscured photos, manipulations with poor cutting and/or blending, etc. Please only art that you feel represents your gallery well!
Why was my submission declined?
There are a few reasons - staff will usually write an explanation for you, if there was none then it was probably a miss-click on a touchscreen, so please re-submit!
The most common reasons for a legitimate refusal are: you submitted to the wrong folder (please don't submit to featured), the piece was not up to quality standards, or you used resources but proper credit is not given.
Why did I get an invite?
Because you have some nice canine art! And sending out invitations is a good way to get members. We think you would make a good addition to our growing community. If you don't want to join, it's as simple as declining. Apologies ahead of time if you receive another invite some point in the future... we're forgetful.
Who can become a contributor?
If you have at least 10 pieces featured in this group, you may request to become a contributor. Contributors submissions are automatically approved, and they can help vote on submissions to the group's gallery and other things too. If you are interested in becoming a contributor, just send a note to the group!
Our policy on art theft:
If anyone is found to be falsely claiming art, they will not only be declined/have their submissions removed from the group, they will also be blocked and reported. If you see stolen work appear in the group, please note us and we'll take care of it immediately - do not start a flame war on our page, thanks!
