Spike sighed as he wondered through the woods. A letter had appear at the door with no address or name. The hand writing was messy, like it had been done by a filly or colt. His bet was Scootaloo. It told him to meet them in the woods at sunset. He looked up. The sun was setting as he walked, occasionally getting his foot caught on a briar or vine.
“Whoever it is,” Spike mumbled,” Better be worth it.”
His feet ached from walking. Finally, he was close. He heard…singing? It was a male voice and it was amazing. He listened in awe.
“Down in the forest…” The voice sung,” We'll sing a chorus…”
Spike got closer, eager to see who it was.
“One that everybody knows…”
Spike peaked around a tree and gasped
There on the rock, where he was supposed to be meeting a mystery guest, sat Garble. A rotten teenaged dragon who had bullied him.
“Hands held higher…,” Garble sung with such passion and confidence,” We'll be on fire…”
Spike’s emerald eyes shimmered in amazement.
“Singing songs that nobody wrote…”
“Wow,” Spike muttered and sighed in astonishment.
Garble suddenly stopped and perk up and turned around, seeing the young purple dragon standing and listening.
Garble yelped and his face flushed pink in embarrassment,” Sp-Spike?! H-How long have you been listening?!”
Spike frowned,” N-Not very long! B-But you’re a good singer!”
Garble blushed more,” Whatever…”
“Are you the one who sent the letter?” Spike sat beside him on the rock.
“Er, well, my friend, Fizzle, did,” Garble mumbled looking down.
“D-Did you need something?” Spike stared at him.
“Fizz wanted me to tell you something…” Garble sighed.
“Cool!” Spike grinned,” Tell away!”
Garble looked away.
“C’mon, Garble,” Spike sighed,” What is it?”
“It’s hard to say…” Garble blushed a bit more.
“You can tell me anything!” Spike insisted,” Trust me!”
Garble continued to look away, avoiding all eye contact with Spike.
“Garble…” Spike frowned.
Garble was slowly getting angry. Spike kept on and on. Garble finally exploded with fury.
“I LIKE YOU, OKAY?!”
Spike gasped. It was not what he expected at all. Garble’s eyes widen and he growled at himself and turned away. Spike stared at him.
“G-Garble…” Spike sighed.
“What? You hate me,” Garble growled,” I should have never told Fizzle and he should of never set this up.”
“I-I never said I hated you…” Spike crossed his arms.
“You love that white mare named Rarity,” Garble stated.
“Don’t even deny it, I’ve seen how you fawn over her...” Garble was starting to tear up.
“What you don’t know is that I asked her out,” Spike said, flatly,” What you don’t know is that she rejected me…”
Tears formed in Spike’s eyes,” Because I was a dragon and dating a dragon would ruin her perfect reputation.
Garble growled,’’ She literally had the perfect boy fawning over her and SHE WOULDN’T DATE HIM BECAUSE OF WHAT HE WAS?!”
Spike could tell Garble was furious,” Perfect boy?”
Garble sighed,” Well, yeah.”
“How?” Spike looked at him.
“You’re smart, funny, cute, and all round amazing! Those stupid ponies don’t know what they have!” Garble fumed,” Its bull shit!”
Spike frowned at the use of language,” I-I’m not those things at all…”
Garble frowned as well,” Yes, you are.”
Spike pouted,” Prove it.”
Garble smirked,” If I didn’t think you were perfect, would I do this?”
“h-huh? Wha-“Spike was cut off.
Garble pressed his lips onto Spike’s. Spike gasped through the kiss, but relaxed and kissed back. He moved his hands to Garble’s shoulders as Garble held him on the waist. Garble gently pulled away.
Spike was a blushing mess,” W-Woah…”
Garble chuckled,” Never been kissed like that, huh?”
Spike blushed,” A-Actually, I-I’ve never been kissed at all until just now…”
Garble’s eyes widen,” I-I took your first..?”
“Oh my gosh!” Garble panicked,” A-and you don’t even like me!”
“I-I do…” Spike smiled.
Garble blushed,” S-So, do you wanna… Y’know…Be my..?”
Spike hugged him tightly, enjoying the warmth,” I-I think I would love that…”
