This is the first group at Deviantart originally dedicated to DAZ first musclebound figure: the Freak. The Freak was originally designed by DAZ pioneers Christopher Creek & Robert Wisenant. Two artists/powerlifters themselves, Chris is one of the original founders of DAZ 3D; the company and Rob is one of the main programmers of DAZ Studio since version 1. Please join and show your work. Besides the DAZ Freak & She Freak, this group welcomes work with DAZ Genesis over the top muscular morphs/characters like Hercules Genesis 3, Nessus, SWOLE, Mr. Hyde, Raw Massive, Abomination, Infernal Behemoth, etc.

As a parent myself I'm trying to keep this gallery family friendly, PG-13 or a very tame R. Although I have accepted already pictures that show genitalia and sexual suggestions, I've classified them as risqué and from now on new ones might not be accepted. There are plenty of galleries in Deviant Art that I'm sure will be interested in that type of work. I hope you understand this is only a matter of taste and image and nothing against your artwork that might in reality be exceptional. I'm also promoting the Freak(s) as a heterosexual character(s) in my gallery so your work needs to be consistent with that.

So what kinds of renders does this gallery looks for mostly? Fantasy adventure, renders that portrait your Freak/SWOLE/Massive as a heroic figure, fight ready, acts of strength & heroism, going against the world, saving and winning the girl or saving the weak and showing what a bad a$$ figure he is. Not that this theme will be the only one accepted but I'd say you will have a 99% chance to get your artwork in.

So what kind of images I'm NOT looking for, this is not a gallery that looks to celebrate the male form, I'm not looking for images of good looking men scantly clad unless there are females involved, as a heterosexual male I'm more inclined to accept a sexy she-hulk kind of rendering than a muscular guy that is just standing there looking pretty with no action whatsoever, in my opinion it makes for a boring gallery. Think of ACTION, ACTION and more ACTION. If there is some good action in your picture it has a good chance to be accepted.

I've been doing this SWOLE product for DAZ for awhile.  It started with Genesis 1 vanilla (www.daz3d.com/swole-for-genesi…) before DAZ even published the Freak 5; apparently the last of their line of Freak characters.  It has fallen to us DAZ Published Artists to come up with the successor so me being such a DAZ Freak fan, immediately transitioned to my SWOLE as a replacement.  Usually based on another DAZ official figure like Freak (www.daz3d.com/freak-5-swole), Michael (www.daz3d.com/michael-6-swole) and the Minotaur (www.daz3d.com/genesis-2-swole-…).  Version 7 is very special to me (www.daz3d.com/swole-7-hd) as I took on a more pure approach and used simply the Genesis 3 base and a bunch of bodybuilding references to sculpt the morph.  With the release of my "Add Some Veins HD for Genesis 3" I believe the product takes an added dimension of realism. www.daz3d.com/add-some-veins-h…

So it was time to open a section dedicated to the SWOLE in all his incarnations, fans-of-daz-freak.deviantart.c…
hope you like it and hope to be able to gather SWOLE renderings from the community to the new gallery.  A creator's greatest satisfaction comes from seeing his product used by others, like seeing your child go out into the word.  Hope to see SWOLE leading many adventures.  Thank you for your continued support and keep up the great work!

Regards,
SimonWM
I'm pleased to welcome the amazing art of a stalwart of the DAZ community to our gallery.  Rawart has been developing morphs for the DAZ & Poser community since DAZ figures generation 3.  Many of his creatures include hair and geograft  parts and offer great customization.  Whether you need a monster, villain or hero no doubt you will find an appropriate morph in his DAZ store.  Lately his gallery has been showing an increased amount of imagery with over the top "massive" figures so it was overdue to extend the invitation.  Welcome to the group Rawart!

Thank you for featuring my characters, but I'm afraid they are not the FREAK model. I'm using V4.2 model with my custom body morphs, displacements and bump maps. :)

Hi Tigersan, thank you for allowing our gallery to display some of your art.  I assumed your model wasn't the Freak but didn't know it was V4.2.  Still your body morphs are exceptional.  What do you use to sculpt them Z-Brush?  Even though the primary figure in our gallery is still the Freak we welcome over the top muscular sculpted figures like yours so welcome aboard!

Thanks again,
SimonWM.

Is there a limit to the items you can submit in a day? Im going back through my gallery and looking for potential images that might fit in the group but I don't want to slam you with a slew of images if you have already mentioned somewhere the limit. Let me know - thanks!

Thank you, I approved both your images. There is no limit to submission but if you can limit it to less than ten a day it will be more manageable for me.  I try to check the page every day for submissions.  The home page describes what I'm mostly looking for.

I'm going to start a new chapter with my freak and steer him in more straight roles. I have made a lovely heroic Aiko3 character to pair with him so I think more action adventure is in the works for me. But of course, who can turn down a hunky barbarian now and then. I'll keep it PG to follow with the rules of the group. Cheers!

Yes, I find the Freak mixes pretty nice with Aiko, both go to extremes without getting too cartoony.
