Faux Pocket-Watch 4

I figure I'll probably get up to Faux Pocket-Watch 100-and-something before I get bored with these. You have been warned.

Slightly different design element on this. The little gear-element-thingie on my Steampunk Goggles made me want to try something where the gears are backed by something clear, or maybe even altogether open. I created the main part by drilling a hole in a piece of birds-eye maple, and then cutting indentations to the point where I could glue the gears overlapping each other and (hopefully) keeping them from falling through to the other side. The top is another piece of Purpleheart Figured (still lots of that left) with a thin rod of ebony wood running from one side to the other. Actually the way this is set up you could wear the pendant facing either way.

...I probably should have included a picture of the other side, shouldn't I? Maybe later...
