Ballroom Dinner Dance Evening Dress

Description

We've just delivered this ballroom dance evening dress to a very happy customer.

This dress is knee length with a very full skirt. The bodice is fully lined in green polycotton for comfort, and there is a separate cerise underskirt with a wide comfortable waistband. The dress colour was chosen to match the tartan of her dancing partner's kilt. It is made to measure, our dummy is slightly too large in the bust which has distorted the neckline slightly for these photos.

Clare designed it so that one dress could be adapted to have multiple different looks, so that the one dress can be used for dinner dances without loooking exactly the same too often.
The fabric flower swag on the back is removable, it buttons on.
The side seams are laced, with an extra inch allowance each side, so that the dress can be tightly fitted for dancing, then eased out for dinner afterwards.
The left front quarter has a drawstring so that it can be ruched up latin style to show off the contrast cerise underskirt.
The right side of the skirt has 3 godets, in cerise, which can be worn laced closed or opened.

Feel free to download the image for personal use (eg desktop, screensaver, pinterest, facebook, tumblr, etc) as is, but no derivative works or commercial use please.

Awesome! It's like midway between modern and medieval fashion :)
