Description
Drawn in 2021.
Original comment:
Despite the reputation this game may have, I actually really like Crazy Castle 2 and find it to be a fun and charming little puzzle-platformer. I can't speak to the quality of the other Crazy Castle games, as this is the only one I've played, but I do enjoy it. This drawing is also me trying to make sense out of why on Earth would Tweety or Marc Anthony or that random one-off little ghost from "Ghost Wanted" would wanna murder Bugs Bunny.
Speaking of which, this game sure made some deep cuts. The aforementioned little ghost (who's unnamed) actually inspired the creation of cartoons for Casper (but not the creation of the character, as the character already existed in a single children's book, I believe). Another obscure character is Merlin the Magic Mouse, who appeared in the Seven Arts era of the original theatrical run of Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies (pretty much at the tail end). And, the flame from "Eatin' on the Cuff"... who isn't even an actual character that exists. It's just some random moving fire that was on-screen for about 2 to 3 seconds. The model sheets for that short did have the flame looking more like it did in this game (which is likely where Kemco pulled from, as the manual also has art of the moth from the model sheet... though the moth doesn't actually appear in this game), but even so, it doesn't seem that the flame was ever meant to be an actual character. So, ya, there ya go. If you ever wondered about the three most obscure Looney Tunes characters in this game, there ya go... and one of them wasn't even a character.
Well, I guess I could also mention Honey Bunny, whom Bugs rescues in this game. She never appeared in any short, though. She was only used in merchandise and old comics. She's pretty much been permanently replaced ever since Lola Bunny's debut in Space Jam. She's had a lot of different designs, though the design she had in this game seems too similar to Bugs. I even took SLIGHT artistic liberty with her to differentiate her a bit, but not too much because I did still want to mostly have her look like she does in this game. That being said, why does Witch Hazel wanna kidnap her, anyway? Well, I guess we can just assume it's the same reason she's ever tussled with Bugs in any of the shorts. Either because she needs a rabbit as part of some spell, or she just wants some rabbit for supper.
Anywho, I've rambled enough.
