Sonata
Species: Fennekin
Age: 21 Gender: Male
Description:
Ah, there you are! A pleasure to meet you. I am Sonata--oh, you’ve already surmised that? My apologies; while I must confess my perception of this world is not entirely...normal, I am still unused to interviews of this nature. Regardless, I hope to answer your questions in a satisfactory manner, and beg your pardon for any awkwardness or confusion.
How I look? Well, yes, I suppose it would be prudent to explain my features. If my psychic powers were a bit more advanced, I could transplant it into your mind’s eye, but...well, nevermind that. Let’s see...imagine, if you will, the archetypical fennekin. You’ve him pictured in your mind, yes? Puffy ear fur and all?
Good. Now, if you would, take that image and brush the fur. The tufts of ear fur, they are combed, smoothly, to curl back forward. And as for his body, his neck is not bare, bearing a broach of green gem and gold clasp, to affix a dark grey shawl. Perhaps a bit extravagant, but, well, I would not part with it. The eyes are soft, giving myself a...I confess, a somewhat feminine appearance. Not that I mind it terribly, though.
Well, that’s enough of that I suppose. I always feel rather embarrassed explaining myself physically. As for who I am...People describe me as cordial and proper, someone with an eloquent tongue and calm demeanor who carries himself with the air of a noble wherever he goes. And I...suppose there’s some truth to that statement. My parents, they were quite adamant in ensuring I fit the requirements of heir to the family name, and spared no expense in providing tutors of all subjects and training in etiquette. I...I guess I should be thankful. Do not get me wrong, I love my parents, I do, but they…they...
…
Let us move on. I see upon your face that you still have some lingering questions concerning my previous comments. Why I do not consider my perspective ‘normal’? Ah, yes. Well, to be blunt, I am what you would consider a mystic...no, a witch would be more accurate. Descendant of a line of them. I’m sure you’ve heard of Delphox, and their ability to discern the future? It is a power within all of our line, and my family, particularly, was well versed in it. It is how our clan not only made its name but secured it within the elite. But natural abilities are not enough, and as such every one of our clan indulges--sorry--practices magic to heighten those abilities. Myself included. I’ve gained substantial clairvoyant abilities, but at a price. I shall not spoil you with the entire tale now, but suffice to say when one can see through time and warps their soul to do so, there are certain side effects.
And lastly...yes, I can tell. You’ve picked up on my accent. I confess, I am of Glennish descent, though that is not something I would wish most people to know. Especially in this city of Tabira, brunt of most of my now-destroyed home’s aggression. I still have memories of our home there when I was young--or at least I believe they are my memories--yet our clan fled shortly before its fall to set up in a new location. I just wonder...what was my home truly like? I know my country meted out unspeakable evil to this land, but still, it was my home, and I know so little about it. Is that uncouth? I do not know. I only pray that I will find out--all my divinations on the subject are hazy.
Ah, but I have rambled. There is more to this application, is there not? The rest of my ramblings shall wait for another time. Presently, I shall define my ability and moves. They are as follows:
Ability: Magician
Move 1: Hypnosis
Move 2: Psyshock
Move 3: Magic Coat
Move 4: Fire Spin
Inventory: None so far
-Move Tool: Elegant Oak Wand
--Description: A gift from my parents, before I even knew how to speak. This is the same kind of wand that many Delphox carry, yet this one is immaculately crafted with oaken wood. Holding it helps me channel my Psyshock and Fire Spin moves, and concentrating on the flame it produces aids me in my divinations.

Casnein
Species: Rattata, Alolan
Age: 24 Gender: Male
Description:
My companion, you say? You’ll forgive my insolence, but that is a rather weak term to describe our relationship. Casnein is very dear to me, the love of my life. He may have a rough and somewhat crass exterior, but you will never find another pokemon as compassionate and understanding.
In any case, you wished to know his physical description? Very well. He is a rattata, of the...I suppose the terminology is ‘alolan’ forme? As I asked you before, please imagine the archetypical form of that species. Okay? Good. In any case, he is quite the handsome rattata. While he does not adorn himself with the kinds accessories as I do, he does, however, have both ears pierced, each one a trio of silvery earrings. In addition, he is quite concerned about his belongings and keeping them near--a ‘pack rat’, if you will forgive the pun--and often wearing his knapsack stuffed full of utensils, spices, and other such things necessary for making a meal upon the fly. His fur is much thicker than your usual rattata, owing to his ability, and he stands a head taller than others of his species when he is on his hind legs.
Casnein is quite the no-nonsense pokemon. He is upfront with what he thinks and isn’t afraid to say what is on his mind. You may think that a rather off-putting feature, but if you were to grow up in the setting I was raised in, you would appreciate such frankness. He is quite determined, but that is not to say he is overly stubborn or unfeeling; he is the kind of pokemon that wishes to learn, and if something challenges or shatters his worldview, he is not afraid to admit wrongness and try to adjust. He truly wishes to understand, which is why he accepts and loves me, despite my heritage. Also, do not tell him I shared this, but despite all his tough posturing, he is more of a homebody than I am. He’s always trying to cook for me and fretting about my health and nutrition, or planning for circumstances if we married and adopted children. He is such a lovely pokemon…
I see you are not impressed. Very well, you shall seen as our story unfolds. In any case, Casnein is not Glennish, but his family was influenced by my nation. His clan was that of bakers and chefs, making all sorts of culinary delights, until Glenmark put that path to rest in its megalomaniacal crusade. Even now I wonder why he accepts me--when I first met him in the borderlands between Xin Tou and Lason Springs he bared me strong animosity, but after many conversations his attitude turned. Ah, if I only I could undo the wrongs dealt to him…
But that is waxing for a history that is not ours. Now, we travel together, having decided to venture to this land of Tabira. Both of us are hungry, not for food (though often we are wanting in that regard), but for answers, something to put things to rest. He, why his family had to be scattered and where they reside now, and myself, the true nature and history of my clan before the war.
Oh, but I have gone off on yet another tangent! I can see you are shaking your head, trying desperately to rouse yourself and keep attention. My apologies. Let us get to the important facts. As for my boyfriend’s moves and abilities, they are as follows:
Ability: Thick Fat
Move 1: Snarl
Move 2: Hyper Fang
Move 3: Quash
Move 4: Focus Energy
Inventory: None yet
-Move Tool: Cast Iron Fry Pan
--Description: As the title suggests, Casnein wields a sturdy frying pan made of cast iron that has weathered more than I could imagine without so much as a scratch. While he usually utilizes it as the cooking implement it was made for, he has found a way to make use of it for performing Quash; it seems most enemies are stunned when they are taken by surprise by a pan to the head. He told me it is a memento from his father, and thus quite dear to him.

And finally, you wish for me to regale an anecdote for you? I see. Give me a second...ah, yes, I believe I have a fitting tale.
When we had first ventured to Tabira, both hoping to find a new start, Casnein and I came across a curious squabble: a Meowstic and a Noibat engaged in a heated argument concerning potions. I would later learn that they were guild members, Menthe and Lydia, respectively. In any case, our interests piqued, we moved closer to hear the argument, which seemed to boil down to a matter of potions for the Trackers and the health risks of such.
Now, potions were a common sight back in Glenmark from my recollection--sorry--from recollection, so I would not have imagined such an event, but it seemed a much more nuanced and touchy subject in this area. Indeed, though I wished to intervene and act as mediator, I did not know how to approach the subject. I drew out my wand and began to summon the flame so as to see which paths would lead to a peaceful resolution, but Casnein laid a paw upon my back and assured me such a thing could be solved without magic.
I did not know what exactly he meant, but he was confident, and we both walked up to hear the two sides. I imagine both of the pokemon wanted this, as they divulged their arguments to us post haste in a way to convince us to be on their side. I, myself, was unsure. Personally, I feel that potions and the consumption thereof are up to the user, and that these Trackers fellows sounded tough enough to withstand any potential side effects. Though I wondered if Tabiran potions were of the same make of Glennish potions. Though, while I pondered this dilemma, Casnein raised a paw.
“Ladies, please,” he said, and their eyes turned toward him as he spoke. “So, the idea is makin’ potions to make your guys stronger?” to which Lydia nodded vigorously, while Menthe gave a resigned shrug. Casnein continued, “Well, you don’t need magic potions explicitly for that.”
The noibat perched upon the stall and answered with some incredulity, “We don't? Well then what do we do?”
Casnein put his paws upon his hips and nodded boisterously. He said, “Ya need food! All the things you’re sayin’ you need potions for, a hearty, nutritious meal could suffice. It’d be less risky and more tasty, after all!”
The duo seemed...skeptical, but with some more convincing, and some of Casnein’s prepared parcels that he had made for our travels, Lydia seemed content and Menthe relieved. The next few hours involved the swapping of many recipes and the sudden temporary commandeering of a portion of the Wonder Room’s kitchen, but overall things were resolved much more favorably than i would have predicted sans prediction. Though the blaziken who oversees the kitchen seemed less than pleased with our sudden entry.
In any case, I hope that is satisfactory for now. I would divulge more stories, or add detail to the one I just told you, but I feel quite tired. My apologies, but I must retire and rest. After all, tomorrow is when Casnein and I will begin our guild duties proper.

There Is No Friendship In Conflict 1
EDIT 2: Updated Casnein's description, gave him a move tool and a bit more physical description.
Here we go. I wasn't sure if I should make a second team, but I wanted to try something in a different and more consistent style than Mobster Rollers. Sonata is an old OC of mine that I was debating revamping and bringing here, and I hope the first-person unreliable narrator style works.
A few things to mention that Sonata probably wouldn't have: he often hides the fact that he is of Glennish descent both due to knowing of the horrible things Glennmark did as well as wishing to avoid any conflict or prejudice against him due to his heritage, which has happened on multiple occaisions. In addition, the side effects of his magical powers is that he begins to pick up random memories from people, alive and dead, to the point where it's difficult to distinguish his own memories and those of others. This is why he will often speak about things from Glennmark he should be too young to remember. And finally, while Sonata's description of Casnein is mostly accurate, the rattata is not as confident as Sonata believes.
