Somewhere, Korlandril is tipping his chain sword to you. Always liked him, too bad he got friend zoned by Thirianna that technically made him a scorpion...
Ha HA thanks! I really liked him too, and I agree is a shame he and Thirianna left on such bad terms, but it made a great story.
Truthfully, I prefer Elissinadrin to Thirianna.
Hmm... is been a wile sense I read the first book but i'm pretty sure that Elissinadrin was Korlandril girlfriend wile at the shrine before he became a Exarch, right? If so, I think I would have agreed that she was a more interesting character, but unfortunately there was not much about her compared to Thirianna. Anyway I thought all of the characters in the path of the eldar series were well done, though I know a lot of people did not like Thirianna.
Yeah, from what I read Eliss was a lot more understanding of Korr than Thirianna. The latter of whom just kept trying to proclaim that Korr would lose himself to the Path of the Warrior...which he eventually did and it was all because of her. Even if her pestering would eventually lead to Korr becoming Karandras...she kinda drove a knife in his back. That's why everyone hates her.
In the second book when Korr mentions Eliss to Thirianna, it is written that she felt sorry for whoever would associate with Korr...I mean come on...what kind of friend are you?
I sure as hell wouldn't mind if she get's sent to the Infinity Circuit. Korlandril was the only Eldar I ever really liked besides Aradryan. Too many fucking dooms-day eldar women all over the place...
Sorry for the late reply, i'm pretty busy. Anyway, I agree Thirianna was not a great friend to Korlandril. I understand that she wanted to go in a different direction than she was going before, and that's why she couldn't be with him. But she kept interfering with everyone's lives and in the end caused the Alaitoc to be almost destroyed. I still think she was a interesting character though. And without her interfering with everything, the books might have not been as interesting. Though, I didn't mind how the books ended, I wished the end battle was longer.
Any longer and Alaitoc would have been destroyed...Probably would have set off a large chain of events because the Eldar said they would attack human worlds if Alaitoc was destroyed. Sometimes I think the Eldar are they're own worst enemies. Yeah, Thirianna while influential to the plot just made me hate her with her flip of the page.
I've been painting my brother's Eldar and now I know the direction to take with his Scorpions. Thanks!
