What have they done to the opening of Doctor Who?! I don't like it at all, the TARDIS deserves center stage! While I appreciate the idea of starting in the Victorian era, though it's not a new idea. I like the snowmen, those are some seriously scary new aliens. If Clara turns out to be a bloody time lord there is going to be so much trouble its unbelievable. While she's good I find the character to be too much too soon and I think its gonna take me a while to get used to her, if I ever do grow to like her. I don't think much of the new TARDIS inside either, compared to how its been before I really don't find it to be impressive. The new look is more of a retro theme but it takes UFO to the maximum. There's so much more I could say but I think I'm gonna have to wait for it starting so I can either rant more or exclaim my enjoyment.
As for Merlin, well, I cried. The ending was good, unexpected by far but I'm so disappointed that it finished in such a way. Morgana's death was completely anticlimactic, the quote, "and so it ends with not a bang but a whimper" is completely fitting. I suppose I should not be surprised after the amount of times that people have been knocked out by being slammed into bricks, I mean, surely someone should have died from that by now. The use of magic to push people away was so over used in that series, I was starting to grow tired of seeing actors being thrown through the air. At least they will be prepared for any action films in the future.
P.S. Did anyone else notice Rose and Crown? I suppose it's just me that would notice the mention of Rose, is it accidental? Some how I don't think so, the writers of Doctor Who have never been ones to lead the viewers on like that, I'm sure the mention of Rose was purposely put there to give enjoyment to us hardcore shippers haha. Also, he Doctor said he knew someone who could save Clara while giving her a TARDIS key, if that doesn't scream Bad Wolf or some other type of hint to the power of the TARDIS I don't know what does.
