My Bio
Beginning life as a rhinestone egg laid by the Evening Star on a stained-glass window in an isolated church that belonged to a hermit called Thunder Swept Bob the Second Elder. I was hatched by the warmth of the pale winter sun and secret satellite lasers. Once I broke free of my crystal birth prison, I set forth into this great land with the aim of unleashing a wave of silliness upon the world. LET SILLINESS REIGN!

Favourite Visual Artist
MC Esher, Van Gogh, Magritte, Dali, Mucha, Graeme Base, Shaun Tan, CLAMP (so swirly, though I'm not digging their stories lately), Darwyn Cooke, Jack Kirby, Dave Cockrum, Paul Smith, Jim Steranko, Frank Miller, Bill Sienkiewicz, John Buscema
Favourite Movies
Anything from the Disney stable, anything from the Pixar catalogue, The Fugitive, I, Robot (No, I'm not ashamed to admit that.), Star Wars (original trilogy only)
Favourite TV Shows
Voltron/GoLion, Pokémon, Avatar: The Last AirBender (seasons 1 and 2), Insektors, The Mentalist (for now...), Star Trek (even Voyager and Enterprise, though they broke my heart with their lameness.)
Favourite Bands / Musical Artists
If it's naff and uncool, or so popular it can't be cool, then I probably like it. Regardless of the decade.
Favourite Books
The Eggchild, Dogsbody, Small Gods, The Little Island, Abarat series
Favourite Writers
Terry Pratchett, Diana Wynne Jones, Garth Nix, Catherine Fisher, Ursula K Le Guin, Sean McMullen, Emily Rodda, Isobelle Carmody (if she'd only finish what she started), Chris Claremont, Bill Watterson
Favourite Games
Mind games, though I often come unprepared and ill-equipped.
Favourite Gaming Platform
Purchasing with wild abandon from the iOS candy store. At least in waves. Like bulimia, in a way.
Tools of the Trade
Pens, brushes, paper, the eraser, and heart freezing doubt which is counter balanced by soul igniting gleeful confidence. Dash of Clark Gable I Don't Give A Damn also included.
Other Interests
Dancing in the dark, walking through the park, reminiscing.
I don’t understand DeviantArt’s system anymore! Where did all the gallery folders go? What am I posting to? Are tags the way to go now?

Really, DeviantArt, were you always this difficult to navigate? Opening up my account after being away for so long feels like rifling through an old desk. Ooh, what's in this drawer? What's in this folder? I don't remember drawing that... What was I thinking?! It's an odd blend of nostalgia and surprise.

After not drawing for quite some time, I start to think that somehow I've forgotten how, and then I start to get the creeping fear that I'll never draw again, and then I don't try because maybe I'll find out that I couldn't draw in the first place, and then the fear becomes a certainty, which is much easier to deal with. But for some reason I'm here again. And annoyingly I'm still as uncertain as ever. Years have done nothing to erase that. Well they wouldn't, would they? Only effort can erase that.

I really love  your Doodle Or Die artwork. And your art here is very good too!
Tag a quality deviant, You’re it! Quality doesn’t mean that you have a lot of followers, or a lot of messages. It means that you’re nice to other people, and you deserve to be happy. If you get this message, someone is telling you that they love you as you are, and they don’t care how much followers you have. Send this to 10 deviants who deserve it. If you break the chain, nothing will happen. But it’s just good to let someone know that you love them! ♥
Aww, thanks, Metoria. :hug:
I've just looked at the raw chapter 272 from Sket Dance, so much YuukixSwitch love again T/////T :heart: I missed this!!!! (just had to write you!). I'd really want to know what they talk about ..such a pity it's still not translated.
But I found out in a forum, that Yuuki wants to study science, so she can have a new viewpoint on the occult things :'DD
Oooh, there were so many adorable things in that chapter. ^_^ Switch being sure Yuuki could take care of herself; Yuuki refusing to argue about occult stuff with that bully (cause that's her thing with Switch, dang-nabbit); Switch once again going all out with his special effects trickity tricks; everyone's reaction when Yuuki said she was going to study science; Switch being scornful that she'd only just be able to scrape into a good school; Yuuki saying, no, my grades are quite good actually. And then the kicker: Yuuki smiling! I don't think she's ever smiled at Switch since the first time they spoke in their first year (before it all went horribly wrong). That page of them regarding each other was very much an echo of the first year flashback chapter.

I was thinking that this chapter would have been the herald for a chapter where Switch begins to have doubts about studying science/engineering himself, going to Tokyo U, following the path that his brother would have taken, and instead considers that his gift might be to tell stories and make movies. But nope, that didn't happen. :P Yuuki chapters always seem to occur just before major Switch chapters; though three chapters on and my theory is currently wrong. ^^;

But this is all getting me slightly antsy. What's going to happen to the series once they finish high school? Will it end or will it follow them to uni? I thought once mangaka's got serialised that they hanged on to their spots like limpets. Yet why does this series fell like it's going to end? Oooh, so much uncertainty. D:

Of course, if Yuuki studied science and Switch studied film making, then they could both go on X-files/Scooby Doo/Blair Witch adventures and have their own series. :D ...or not. ^^;
