Incognito Costume Portrait by fairyfrog Incognito Costume Portrait by fairyfrog
This was a kit I created for a larp back in 2005 but I never got any good shots of it back then.
it started out as a therapy project and eventually i assembled all the parts to an Elizabethan/Italian-inspired court costume.

The beads are sweet water pearls and blood stone. Fabrics are dupion silk, silk velvet and guipure lace.
The project took about 150 hours from start to finish.

Model: Love Sjögren as his OC, Claudius Celestiini, Prince of Novion.

The choice of fabrics is working so well, i'm in love with that piece ;)
Very pleasant work!

I understand the 150 hours of work, you must have been very patient. But the result looks really great!

It did, actually.
I was trying to find my way back into creation after being burned out from a huge project.
I started small with a lower sleeve, embroidering small beads on a piece of lace.. and I just went on from there, not pushing it towards anything finished or any deadline for a long time, just finding my way back into the joy of sewing.

Thank you so much! :)

you're welcome! I did a costume myself(to cosplay Mononoke Hime); took a week of work more or less(and very basic sewing knowledge, the triky part is the sculpting one)but still, at the end of it I was exausted! So you can understand why I am amazed by this. It's a work of art, nothing less.
