Fairest of them all by fairyfrog Fairest of them all by fairyfrog
Found small roundel mirrors in a mosaic shop and got this idea.

It's supposed to reside on a long chain around the neck of any lovely coquette! ;)

Sterling silver which I tarnished, a mini-mirror and some free-hand engraving. The piece is a little over 2 inches long.

Setting the mirror was tricky. I gotten used to setting sturdy gemstones, so a frail mirror was quite a fine balance between firm and gentle.

..I broke the first one.

I'm afraid the mirror surface itself is an actual mirror. I cheated. ;)

This is so elegant~ The way the setting is done reminds me of a gear, very steampunk!

Thank you! I wanted something protective yet simple.
I thought of setting it from the back into a frame at first, but decided to go with a fully backed approach to protect the glass better.
