Chrysalis Intaglio pendant-to-be by fairyfrog Chrysalis Intaglio pendant-to-be by fairyfrog
Natural Baltic amber, 37 x 20 mm, 5-12 mm thick and scorched at the back to a depth of 2-3 mm to get a darkened background.

The engraving I did is very deep and carved from both the back (Tree, moth) and from the bottom (flowers).
The depth is sadly not conveyed by the photograph. Hopefully I'll set this in a silver bezel to make a rather sizable pendant.

I wish I could find more amber pieces like this to work with.

I adore moths in general, but the tree and flowers just make it unique and more beautiful. Amazing job.
