Aging wood wedding bands by fairyfrog Aging wood wedding bands by fairyfrog
One of the wedding ring commissions I made last year.
The customer wanted me to re-use some old jewelry to create wedding bands for him and his wife-to-be.
The colour they turned out to be was a lovely rose gold hue. Also, these rings will age with time.

They are patterned deeply with gold and then silver molten into the depth and lastly etched.
Over time, the silver will be eaten away and leave a deeper "aged wood"-surface.

Lovely people! I'm happy to be a part of their lives!

Brilliant idea for a set of wedding rings - the symbolism of it is wonderful, and I can imagine that they'll look stunning with the more 'mature'/aged look! I'm sure they'll love the rings to pieces :)

An ingenious construction! They look lovely already, it is quite magical that they will change with time too.

Thank you dearest! I think they will look a lot more "woody" in a couple of years.
I like the idea of them changing as the relationship age with grace alongside the rings and wearers. <3
