Waterfall

I really like the composition of this photograph. The pose of the girl is really exceptional. I like the way she is looking away from the camera. This gives a sense that the viewer is looking onto a private moment -- as if the camera itself never existed or intruded on this moment.

I feel like this image is a clever study in contrasts, giving a sense of motion and stillness. The water and froth are both out of focus so seem secondary, but give a sense of action and motion. Almost as if a metaphor for what might be going on within the girl's thoughts.

By contrast we have the girl, the ledge upon which she is resting, and the leaves above her head all sharply in focus. All of these are the epitome of stillness, giving her a sense of timelessness.
