Although the image could be a bit more crisper ( Nothing that can't be slightly adjusted in PS ) , the overall presentation is great : Plain background makes it simple to cut out (which saves a great deal of time ) , the shadows are uniform and not harsh ( again , easily adjustable in PS ) , and the photo works great in conjunction with her other photos from the same photo-shoot which creates many possibilities for great photo manipulations. I'd like to point out that the stock image's size makes it possible to use this image using various focus points . All in all great image , and great gallery to compliment it.

The jump is beautiful, and so is the craft, but being a dancer myself makes me feel like she really shouldn't be sickling her foot when she jumps. It looks natural, but I don't like the look of it. She's wearing dance clothes after all. The shadow in the background makes it look very simple and lovely. The elongated neck gives a look of eloquence and grace. The hair is simple and easy, with no fly aways, and completes the look. I think I'd like to see another pose that shows "Satine" jumping higher and/or showing her face. Good job overall, and I'd like to see more.

As a non-dancer, and someone not particularly fond of classical ballet (I find it too stiff and unnatural), I really like this shot as it is. I'm not dissing ballet, I just wanted to provide a different perspective, that some people like the natural toes better for instance.
Also as a stock,  I find it has much more potential uses this way, as it does not look "ballet" but just a woman. I thought she looked like she is levitating, not jumping, which I find really cool. It could be used for fantasy (think vampire, ghost, witch...). Or she could be hanging, like she passed out and someone is holding her up, under her armpits. If you step outside the dancer point of view, this is perfect!

Hi, thanks for your words.
I completely agree! I stopped dancing about 8 years ago so have lost a lot of my form.
I was looking through this shoot and there were so many shots where i noticed things that as an ex-dancer made me cringe; unpointed toes, no outturn, robot arms, hunched shoulders... week! I need to take classes again.

I totally know how you feel. It's like a case of dancer's OCD, know what I mean?
