Description
After watching the Desolation of Smaug, I too fell in love with this couple of Kili and Tauriel. It left in me a desire to know more of what happens to them as a potential couple, the possible conflicts of Tauriel being banished from Mirkwood and Kili being frowned at by his stubborn uncle Thorin, who did not witness his healing. And yet how shameless he was to expose his sentiments to her. It's another kind of Shakespearean forbidden romance that can and will end in tragedy. So in my mind, they make use of every instance they can muster to be together against all odds.

Before any other troll decides to have the attention-craving spotlight with a smartarse comment that is not only irrelevant, but also makes the commenter look bad, look at the picture again. Their anatomical positioning implies he might be sitting on her lap.

It's a pretty picture, but, uh, that is one tall dwarf and one short elf. The heights should be reversed and then some. It shows the tendency to think that men "should" be taller than women. The implication of constructing it this way is that a dwarf man is ugly if portrayed at his natural height, so he's been hottied up. I wonder if the artist is a woman?
