I though you people might like to check out this new sword. It's inspired by Oakeshott's type XII.1 from 'Records of the Medieval Sword'- the quintessential medieval sword.

This sword is a little longer in the blade (33.34"), and grip, allowing for purchase of the aft hand - so really a XIIa variation of it. Still very light at 2.4lb / 1095g allowing single handed use.
The blade is also a little wider at 62mm / 2.44", as is the guard to square up to the length of the hilt.
