Meta is starting to feel increasingly restrictive, almost like going back to the 1950s, at the height of the Comics Code Authority, when even a drawing of a scantily clad woman could be censored, restricted, or quietly buried by the algorithm.
Meanwhile, arguments and verbal fights seem to be rewarded, simply because more comments mean more reach. Apparently, conflict is perfectly acceptable, but a bit of skin is where they draw the line.
That's one of the reasons why I feel much more comfortable on alternative platforms such as DeviantArt. Compared to a few years ago, I think it has improved considerably: it gives artists more freedom and also offers real opportunities to monetize their work.
