My Bio
Ezekiel Crowe is an eccentric hermit that has a drawing obsession. He also dwells in a modest hovel with three black cats.

He does color poorly so he always wears black and it gets him into funerals quite easily. He is often found feeding stray cats or in book stores. He is quite approachable but be prepared if you do because he may offer a perplexed gaze in return.

He has a deep respect for traditional artists of old such as Albrect Durer and current artists like Barry Windsor-Smith, Alan Lee, Ian Miller and others.

He is not wanted in any states.

First I want to thank you for taking the time to critique this piece. I am rather fond of it and it was more of a homage piece to things I love from old horror movies and comics with a tad bit of camp.

You are right about the other leg, I should perhaps have shown it blending into the shadows but at the time I thought it looked fine. You point is valid though.

Thanks for the compliments about my rendering in pen, ballpoint. It is perhaps my favorite medium.

Again thanks for taking the time to critique. =)

I usually don't do critiques and I am not a huge fan of anime styled artwork but your piece could win me over.

First off I want to tell you that your composition is spot on. Catwoman's form is lithe and graceful even the angle of her head leads the eye through your picture. Something that many artists struggle with but you succeeded and succeeded well in this area.

Second, your use of colors really cause the picture to pop for me. I like the burnt umber effect and your use of light and shadow show you know what you are doing. I especially like how the cat shadow is definite on its profile but fades just a tad before the body allowing the figure to still be the predominate focus. That was very well done.

I like the design of the cat suit and how you added the zipper track and how it contrast to the soft flesh of her breast, very seductive and we all know Catwoman is a seducer. <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt="=)" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="390" title="=) (Smile)"/> Even the vintage exhibition poster is a nice touch as well as the anarchy symbol painted on the wall. The piece tells a story, I like art that tells me a story.

The only complaints I would give, and they are minor ones, the gem looks a tad awkward, it may be just the position in her hand and the reflections are abit too stylized. Also the googles reflections seem to be added as an afterthought. But these are minor flaws and DO NOT distract from the impact of the piece.

You should be proud of this one.

Thanks for taking the time to critique this piece. I am very happy you liked it, it was one of those "guilty pleasure" pieces.

Thanks again, very much =)
Dr. Necropolis and the Organ Mysterium
I want to thank you for not only taking the time to look at my work but also for the critique.

I am touched and grateful that you enjoyed it. To honest the piece took some time to complete and was a labor of love. Old World Illustrations and artists like Albrecht Durer, Franklin Boothe and many others appeal to me. I am glad you picked up on that.

I know that many don't consider ballpoint a valid medium, but that is changing with the rise of "biro art" (ie) ballpoint art.

Thanks again. =)
