River bank beauties by EyeDance River bank beauties by EyeDance
Madre de Dios region, Peru. Found them on the banks of the Manu river. It's lowland rainforest there, and butterflies seem to be everywhere.

Full view for your convenience. :-)

manche schmetterling arten in solchen gebieten machen das.

Gosh! O.O What astounds me are not only the numbers, but what pretty wings that adorn them. Have never seen such a gathering before. I'm sure I wouldn't witness such a sight in my lifetime. Not many do. Peru seems to be interesting.

As mentioned, recent inactivity due to exams. Supposed to have 3 exams on the same day on Friday and 3 more next week. Just had one today.

I'm working on drawing a basket of fruits. just left with 2 slices of watermelon and I'm done! ;D

Thank you, Lemmy. :-) It really is a lovely sight when coming across a whole bunch of them. I found similar scenes in the rainforests of Malaysia, but there, there were always wild bees involved. No idea why.

I think there's something rotting on the sand. Butterflies like the cloying odour of rotten flesh.
