Would I be allowed to illustrate here, in an obviously 40K way, my fan theory that following their defeat the surviving Diasporex hid in the Warp and spent millennia struggling against its hazards? I wanted to portray that lesser-known faction in its lone struggle against Chaos, how it could not call for allies lest it expose itself to the Imperium again, how they even still strive to stay democratic and multicultural despite those who have turned away to hatred and sometimes Chaos.

My concept for a possible warhammer 40k fan-made race I want to make.

Inquisitor: What is... the void?
Trazyn: Space between dimensions... you have what your kind call the materium and the immaterium. the Void... is the area in between. Containing... Nothing, can you imagine? no up or down, no gravity or time... stretching out in infinite directions.
Inquisitor: ...
Trazyn: My people called it The Waking Death, the Eldar know of it as the Silent Scream... and you Humans call it Limbo.
Admiral: But you said that things... lived inside that place... WHO?
Trazyn: Beings of cosmic influence and power, unable to fully manifest in our Galaxy due to it not... being habitable for them... Only the Old Ones and our race could see them through the cracks in reality back during... the war...
They are a race beyond comprehension to many, anti-life itself... They only wish to turn our Galaxy into some kind of... Anti-galaxy and from there to spread out in all directions. Why they do this? we might never find out...
Inquisitor: but surely the forces of chaos could b-
Trazyn: The forces of chaos are terrified of them... during the War In Heaven I saw world populations enthralled in the power of their Seers and turned into crusading, mindless hordes of servants, never uttering a word as we killed them.
Planet sized vessels of blinding white and impossible black plunging through gas giants and suns, consuming and converting all before them.
I've seen a legion of demons vanish, ripped from the very fabric of our dimension in an instant when they tried to invade one of the cosmic cracks... before we closed it.
They existed before what you call the Big Bang and now they are back... Many of the devices we seeded over thousands of worlds to keep them in their realm have failed...
"The silent Ones have found their voice once again..."

(non-game wise, only fluff-wise. makes it easier not to think of applying it to the game mechanics)
personally I'd love to see some Men of Iron remnants who return from a pocket dimension they retreated to.
(dark age tech of humanity was reaching Necron levels people o-o it's possible.)
