This was based on an old vacation photo I took while vacationing in Vietnam. I forgot where we were going but I remembered seeing this abandoned building and wandering away from my group to take pictures. And that's how I would die in a horror movie. Anyway, the inside was really dark with piles of shoes and mattresses, no furniture.
Some elements in the artwork have been modified and are different from the original photo, but still good painting practice!

Holy, exquisitely sensational! This Enchanting Forest Landscape is stunning and The Abandoned House looks incredible. The designs, ruined porch, roofing, broken windows, doors, shackles, debris, bricks, archways, structures, architecture, trees, vines, flowers, brush, branches, stems, roots, plant life, sky, clouds, flock of birds, flight, haze, pathway, terrain, flow, movement, effects, realisticness, perspective, atmosphere, hues, textures, composition, concept, uniqueness, lighting, colors, style, and other details are also outstanding. Amazingly Radical work! :iconfantasticplz:

Haha, love your write up.

The piece is beautiful. Something, maybe the palette, reminds me of scenes in Spirited Away.

It's so wonderfully creepy, but there's such a melancholy to it, too. The tags kind of color my perception of it, but my first glance kind of gave me this sense of 'being' abandoned, left behind while the forest grew around and into it.

It's like its waiting for someone to come back but knows deep down the original owner will never return.

A serene state of decay indeed, I like the way you think.
That's quite atmospheric and lovely.

This reminds me of the house that Elie/Elly is inside in new The Last of Us 2 trailer :)

This reminds me of my Grandma's summer vacation home where we used to go in the Adirondacks of New York State. It's an old house too. I don't know if any of my family use it anymore since Grandma died, it may be abandoned now. Anyway, the square windows look like our kitchen windows. And the area around the trees would be the front door and porch.
We had a stone fireplace (it was cold in June when we would arrive). The Hot Water was provided by a boiler on the porch, we had a fridge from the 1950's for food.Grandma had a small Black and White TV with antennas that picked up 3 channels from Vermont (across Lake Champlain).
It was in the woods, so we always had raccoons raiding the garbage cans!
