I can agree that this looks like it was based off of a Cowboys' Cheerleaders' Girls' uniform.
I can agree that it's good art too.

But the costume shows lack of understanding of american culture. Americans aren't all cowgirls cowboys and gangsters or anything like that.

And if it's a nod to our past, then that also shows a lack of understanding of our past itself. This could be a nod to WESTERN old america culture, but it doesn't symbolize america as a whole. The only places that this could be a nod to is the old west, respectively.

I would have perfered a design that mirrored the japanese design with american elements- this doesn't even look like something that Miku could do. It's just not recognizable. The costume looks like it was made for a PV; not for her box/concert/promo design.

I'm sorry, it just doesn't suit America or Miku herself.
