I like that the feathering extends past the eyes, rather than stopping just short of them as seems to be the more usual trend in Deinonychosaur art.

Man screw feathers, there's no evidence or proof that Deinonychus had them. This thing looks CUDDLY, its NOT a deinonychus.

Evidence aside, that "cuddly" animal would have no trouble eviscerating you regardless of how it looks. Nature doesn't care about your poor taste in aesthetics; cute grizzly bears and wolves are some of the most dangerous animals around.

Dead wrong. Deinonychus is in the same family as several of several other dromaeosaurs, like Sinornithosaurus and Microraptor, whose fossils have extraordinarily well-preserved and obvious feather imprints. Velociraptor, an animal which is extremely similar to Deinonychus, had actual quill knobs on its arms where feathers attached. There is not a single scientist in the paleontological community who believes that Deinonychus did not have feathers.

Next time, do some research before you put your foot in your mouth.

They found ONE arm bone of ONE specimen, of which they do not have the rest of the body, with a few bumps on it. That is NOT evidence.

Yes, it is. Please do some research into the nature of paleontological evidence and learn what constitutes evidence before making such a random assertion. If you think this isn't "evidence" then you basically disagree with every actual paleontologist. Also, in the meantime, do some research into phylogenetic bracketing and learn how that's relevant in the feathers debate. Thanks! :)

Very nice. I try not to draw maniraptorans anymore, as I can never get feathers quite right.

Thanks! You should give maniraptorans a try again, as they're quite fun to draw. ;)

Gah.. I knew I was going to do that. I was looking through every picture of this character looking for an appropriate pronoun, but I couldn't find one, so I just assumed. My bad. :)
