Be sure to READ the description of each upgrade carefully to know what it is and how to earn it. Work is still ongoing to create examples for each upgrade. Make sure you have actually earned an upgrade before drawing it.

Ways to earn upgrades:
Quests: You can earn upgrades with quest points. All the information and rules are in the Quest Board. All former Action requirements have been replaced by quests. All upgrades can be earned with quests.
One Rank 1 Upgrade - requires 1 Quest Point
One Rank 2 Upgrade - requires 2 Quest Points
One Rank 3 Upgrade - requires 3 Quest Points
One Rank 4 Upgrade - requires 4 Quest Points
Time: Patience is key! Time Upgrades will have a span of time listed next to them. (5 weeks, 1 year, etc.) The time starts on the date your Evoloon's approval art is submitted to your gallery.
Love Magic: Love magic is earned through drawing pictures of your evoloon. Every colored picture you draw of your evoloon counts towards earning Love Magic. Upgrades that need Love Magic will say the word 'love' with a number showing how much magic is needed.
Gift Magic: Gift Magic is exactly the same as Love Magic, except it is earned by drawing other people's evoloons.
Participation: Participation upgrades are earned by individual evoloons participating in a certain number of events. i.e. Fur is earned by participating in a total of 10 events.
Event: Any Upgrade can be chosen by a moderator to be given away as a prize during an event.
Commission: Any Upgrade can be purchased from a moderator. Each mod handles their commissions on their own so there is no set price.

Change your evoloon's eyebrows to any shape you want. square, thin, fluffy, etc. You can also remove them with this upgrade.

Loss of Limb (Alternate way to unlock: Every 5 months, you can remove one limb)
You can completely or partially remove a leg or the neck.
If you are doing quests to remove limbs, you need to do earn 2 new Quest Points for each Limb you want to remove.

Change your evoloons body to be taller, longer, fatter, etc. This upgrade does NOT change the shape of the head.

Your evoloon can now have a color gradient on their markings. This upgrade also unlocks the Different Markings upgrade.

Basic - Rank 3
In order to earn 1 of the Basic Rank 3 Upgrades, you need to gather 3 quest points: Quest BoardColors on White Areas (Alternate way to unlock: Wait till your Evoloon is 1 year old)
Change or remove the white areas (inner ear, eyebrow, nose, under-eye, thumbs, fawn spots)

Head Change (Alternate way to unlock: Earn 40 participation points)
Completely reshape your evoloon's head. This upgrade can change the entire head, even the muzzle. This upgrade does NOT give your evoloon parts like ears, horns, extra eyes, etc. Your evoloon must always have 6 nostrils regardless of how it's head is shaped. The nostrils must stay at their original place and their shape and orientation must remain the same.
Unlimited Body Color (Quest only)
Your evoloon can now be any color and as many colors as you want! This also includes white areas that normally take the "colors on white areas" upgrade. This upgrade also unlocks all markings upgrades (except Travelling Markings).

Your evoloon can now have as many markings as you want. This upgrade also unlocks all other markings upgrades (except Travelling Markings).

Jumble (Alternate way to unlock: Earn 30 participation points)
You can rearrange / move physical traits of your evoloon. For example: Put the ears (or just one year) on the butt, or put a leg on the head. You can re-arrange any physical earned upgrade too. Example: Put earned antlers on the back. You cannot move/change the nostrils.
Terrestrial
Terrestrial - Rank 1
In order to earn 1 of the Terrestrial Rank 1 Upgrades, you need to gather 1 quest point: Quest BoardCanine/Feline Tail (Alternate way to unlock: Earn 40 LM)
Add a tail resembling any real-life canine or feline
Whiskers (Alternate way to unlock: Earn 20 GM)
Whiskers can be any length and go all over the face
Claws (Quest only)
Claws can be any length, shape, or color
Saber Teeth (Quest only)
Any large, downwards protruding teeth count as saber teeth
Tusks (Quest only)
Any large, upwards or outwards protruding teeth count as tusks
Terrestrial - Rank 2

Add a tail resembling any real-life earth mammal (no dolphin/whale tails)

Add camel hump(s) to your evoloon's back

Your evoloon's skin can now be droopy and/or wrinkled
Stompy Feet (Alternate way to unlock: Earn 100 GM)
Large, flat feet like those of an elephant or a sauropod (this does not give your evoloon claws/toenails)
Terrestrial - Rank 3
In order to earn 1 of the Terrestrial Rank 3 Upgrades, you need to gather 3 quest points: Quest BoardMammalian Armor (Quest only)
Add any mammalian armor to your evoloon (quills can be obtained with the Spikes on Body upgrade)
Hands (Quest only)
Hands can resemble any human or animal hands (like an ape, human, raccoon, etc.)
Fluff (Alternate way to unlock: Earn 10 participation points)
Fluff can be fur, hair, wool, etc. Fluff can cover the whole body or just parts
Bony Head Growth (Alternate way to unlock: Earn 15 participation points)
Can resemble any real-life animal with a bony head growth (like a cassowary, triceratops, veiled chameleon etc.)
Pouch/pockets (Alternate way to unlock: Earn 300 LM)
Can resemble an actual marsupial pouch or even clothing pockets. Can be used to carry items!
Avian
In order to get access to the Avian quests and upgrades you must have drawn your evoloon lineless at least once.If you own an Avian Ancient, the Avian category is unlocked for all your Evoloons automatically.

Wing Arms (Alternate way to unlock: Earn 300 LM)
Turn your evoloon's arms into wings. can be any type of wings

A thin flap of skin used for gliding (like a flying squirrel, colugo, anomalure, etc.)
Avian - Rank 3
In order to earn 1 of the Avian Rank 3 Upgrades, you need to gather 3 quest points: Quest BoardFantasy Wings (Alternate way to unlock: Earn 200 LM)
Wings that don't resemble any kind of wings found in nature. Use your imagination. Wings must sprout from the back.
Plumage (Alternate way to unlock: Earn 15 participation points)
A feathery plumage coat; can cover the entire body or just parts
Bird Feet (Alternate way to unlock: Earn 20 participation points)
Change your evoloon's paws into bird feet. can be used on all of the feet or just some of them
Multiple wings (Alternate way to unlock: Earn 30 participation points)
These wings are for your evoloon's back. These can be any type of wings. Note: These do not include head/rump wings, which are a separate upgrade.
Head/Rump Wings (Alternate way to unlock: Earn 40 participation points)
These wings are for your evoloon's head and/or rump. These can be any type of wings. Note: This only includes wings to the head or the rump, not the back.
Aquatic
In order to have access to the Aquatic quests and upgrades you must have drawn your evoloon underwater at least once.If you own an Aquatic Ancient, the Aquatic category is unlocked for all your Evoloons automatically.

Just like a Kappa!! The plate can have any colors or pattern on it

Gills to help your evoloon breathe underwater. these can go on the cheeks, neck, or rib cage.
Scales (Alternate way to unlock: Earn 5 participation points)
Scales can go anywhere and be any color
Tentacles (Quest only)
Tentacles can go anywhere
Fish Lure (Quest only)
A glowing lure atop your evoloon's head
Aquatic - Rank 2
In order to earn 1 of the Aquatic Rank 2 Upgrades, you need to gather 2 quest points: Quest BoardTurtle Shell (Alternate way to unlock: Earn 100 LM)
The evoloon can tuck inside of the shell or even climb out of it if desired
Peg Leg (Alternate way to unlock: Earn 120 LM)
Give your evoloon hard pointed legs instead of feet. This can be used just on the feet or you can make the entire leg jointed like on a crab or lobster.
Fish Tail (Alternate way to unlock: Earn 150 LM)
The fish tail can resemble any real-life fish or aquatic mammal tail (goldfish, dolphin, manatee, etc.)
Glands (Alternate way to unlock: Earn 80 GM)
Your loon can now spit liquids - magical liquid, ink, poison, etc. - effect is up to you
Blowhole (Alternate way to unlock: Earn 80 LM)
This can be placed on top of the head or anywhere along the spine
Body Fins (Alternate way to unlock: Earn 10 participation points)
Unlimited fins that can be placed anywhere
Manta Ray 'Wings' (Alternate way to unlock: Earn 20 participation points)
Manta ray fins that sprout from your evoloon's back

Turn your evoloon's feet into flippers! Can resemble flippers like animals (manatees, dolphins, sea lions, etc.) or can be shaped like scuba flippers! Don't forget to keep the typical evoloon's thumbs! (You can get rid of them with the loss of limb upgrade)
Bubble Skin (Alternate way to unlock: Earn 300 LM)
Bubbles just sprout from the skin and float away. creepy or cute???
Crustacean tail (Alternate way to unlock: Earn 100 GM)
A tail resembling the tail of any real-life crustacean (lobster, shrimp, copepod, etc)
Cerata (Alternate way to unlock: Earn 150 GM)
Soft Fleshy growths like what grows on sea slugs
Frills/Sails (Alternate way to unlock: Earn 200 GM)
Like what's found on a frilled lizard or spinosaurus
Seahorse Tail (Quest only)
A prehensile seahorse tail

A fish-like protrusion from the back of your evoloon's head

Aquatic - Rank 4

A special second 'mermaid evoloon' form. When in this form the bottom half of your evoloon turns into a fish and they can breathe underwater without the use of gills.
Celestial
In order to get access to the celestial quests and upgrades, you must have animated your evoloon at least once.If you own a Celestial Ancient, the Celestial category is unlocked for all your Evoloons automatically.

Celestial - Rank 1
In order to earn 1 of the Celestial Rank 1 Upgrades, you need to gather 1 quest point: Quest BoardMood Stone (Alternate way to unlock: Wait till your Evoloon is 5 months old)
A single stone that changes its color to reflect your evoloon's mood. The stone can be any shape and be placed anywhere.
For each additional stone you want to get for your evoloon, you have to gather 1 quest point or wait another 5 months.
Third Eye (Alternate way to unlock: Earn 10 LM)
A third eye that can be placed anywhere. Eyes must match
Sparkles (Alternate way to unlock: Earn 50 LM)
Glittery sparkles all over the evoloon's body
Antenna (Alternate way to unlock: Earn 5 participation points)
Any type of animal antenna. can be any length
More Ears (Alternate way to unlock: Earn 10 participation points)
More ears for good hearing, there is no limit
Celestial - Rank 2
In order to earn 1 of the Celestial Rank 2 Upgrades, you need to gather 2 quest points: Quest BoardSeveral Tails (Alternate way to unlock: Earn 100 LM)
Can be any type of real life animal tail. If you wish to use other tails multiple times you need to unlock them first.
Fantasy Tail (Alternate way to unlock: Earn 200 LM)
Any tail that does not resemble a real-life creature's tail
Natural Antlers (Alternate way to unlock: Earn 100 GM)
Natural antlers must resemble the shape and size of any real-life animal's antlers. They can be any color
All Seeing Eyes (Alternate way to unlock: Earn 150 GM)
Unlimited eyes all over the evoloon's body. Eyes must match.
Magical Ooze (Alternate way to unlock: Earn 20 participation points)
Markings can now drip magic.
Ghostly Aura (Alternate way to unlock: Earn 25 participation points)
An ominous aura that haunts your evoloon. Can resemble any real-life animal, an evoloon, or just be an ominous blob. Be creative, it's up to you!
Toe Ribbons (Alternate way to unlock: Earn 20 participation points)
Turn your evoloon's prehensile toes into ribbons. Can be any length or color
Insect wings (Alternate way to unlock: Earn 15 participation points)
Wings resembling any real-life insect wings
Insect Abdomen (Alternate way to unlock: Earn 150 LM)
Your evoloon can have a tail that resembles the abdomen/tail of any natural insect
Porcelain (Alternate way to unlock: Earn 20 participation points)
Your loon's skin is now hard, fragile porcelain! Be careful not to shatter! Does not change pattern / color. Only the texture!
Celestial - Rank 3
In order to earn 1 of the Celestial Rank 3 Upgrades, you need to gather 3 quest points: Quest BoardHalo (Alternate way to unlock: Earn 200 GM)
One (or multiple) Halo(s) on or above your evoloon. Can be fantasy shaped or ring shaped. Any color allowed.
Exoskeleton/Carapace (Alternate way to unlock: Earn 300 GM)
A thick layer of jointed skin like what's found on insects or isopods
Glow (Quest only)
The glow can be placed anywhere on the evoloon's body. It can also be used to make special hidden markings.
Snail Shell (Quest only)
Your evoloon can tuck inside of the shell or even remove it if desired
Insect Swarm (Alternate way to unlock: Earn 300 LM)
Insects born from your Evoloon's skin. Flying / crawling all around it.
Lametta / Tinsel (Alternate way to unlock: Wait till your Evoloon is 1 year old)
Glittery, metallic or just colorful lametta / tinsel growing anywhere on your loon's body!
Orbit (Alternate way to unlock: Wait till your Evoloon is 1 year old)
Objects float around your Evoloon! Can be anything.
Cobweb (Alternate way to unlock: Earn 300 GM)
Your Evoloon can now spit / shoot spider webs. You can add the glands at any place of their body. Spiderwebs can also grow from their skin now.
Celestial - Rank 4
In order to earn 1 of the Celestial Rank 4 Upgrades, you need to gather 4 quest points: Quest BoardPaperloon (Alternate way to unlock: Wait till your Evoloon is 2 years old)
Your evoloon turns into a 2D paper creature
Fantasy Antlers (Alternate way to unlock: Earn 500 GM)
Fantasy antlers can be any size, shape, or color.
Note: Candy Corn antlers from the Halloon's Event 2016 are classified as fantasy)
Traveling Markings (Alternate way to unlock: Earn 500 LM)
Your Evoloon's markings and fawn spots can move!!!
Food Growth (Alternate way to unlock: Earn 500 LM)
Your Evoloon can now grow any kind of food (no herbs tho) on their body.
Cyber
To have access to the Cyber quests, you must make a physical OR digital 3D sculpt/plush of your evoloon at least once. It needs to be colored and recognizable as the character who is going to unlock this category.Paper Figures which are cut out, glued together and stand on four 2-dimensional legs are fine too.
If you own a Cyber Ancient, the Cyber category is unlocked for all your Evoloons automatically.

Button Eyes (Alternate way to unlock: Earn 25 GM)
Buttons for eyes! can be any kind of button. Eyes must match
Metal Antenna (Alternate way to unlock: Earn 30 LM)
A metal antenna can be placed anywhere
Metal Spine (Alternate way to unlock: Earn 50 LM)
A protruding metal spine (can extend through the tail if your evoloon has one)
Buttons, Beeds and Sequins (Alternate way to unlock: Earn 80 LM)
Random buttons, beeds or sequins stitched right onto your evoloons body, ouch!!
Exhaust Pipes (Alternate way to unlock: Earn 50 GM)
A real pair of exhaust pipes protruding from your evoloon.
Metal Spikes (Alternate way to unlock: Earn 10 participation points)
Metal spikes that grow from your evoloon's skin
Static (Quest only)
Your evoloon can now have static patches / areas anywhere on it's body.
Mechanical Eyes (Alternate way to unlock: Earn 5 participation points)
These can be any kind of mechanical eyes (camera lens, L.E.D.s, 'Mad-Eye Moody' style, etc. Be creative!)
Cyber - Rank 2
In order to earn 1 of the Cyber Rank 2 Upgrades, you need to gather 2 quest points: Quest BoardSpeakers (Alternate way to unlock: Earn 150 LM)
Speakers with real working sound. Perfect for evoloons who like to be heard
Propeller (Alternate way to unlock: Earn 200 LM)
A real working propeller that can sprout from anywhere on your evoloon's head or body
Marbles (Alternate way to unlock: Wait till your Evoloon is 6 months old)
Marbles of all colors grow on your evoloon's body.
Cables/Wires (Quest only)
Cables/wires can sprout from anywhere on your evoloon
Rivets/Bolts (Alternate way to unlock: Earn 80 GM)
Rivets, bolts, or screws anywhere on your evoloon. They can be flush with the skin, or stick out like Frankenstein bolts.
Coin/Currency Growth (Alternate way to unlock: Earn 100 LM)
Real coins/currency token that grow on your evoloon like apples grow on trees.
This upgrade is for aesthetics only. Having this upgrade will not give you spendable ribbons!

Half-mechanical, half-biological limbs

Just like on a button-jointed doll
Zippers (Alternate way to unlock: Wait till your Evoloon is 1 year old)
Zippers can be placed anywhere on your loon's body.
Cyber - Rank 4
In order to earn 1 of the Cyber Rank 4 Upgrades, you need to gather 4 quest points: Quest BoardToyvoloon (Alternate way to unlock: Earn 50 participation points)
A special second form. A 'Toy-Evoloon' has mechanical joints and a key just like a wind-up toy. While in this form the evoloon can shrink to any size. But be careful! Toyvoloon's do not like water!!
LEDs (Alternate way to unlock: Earn 400 GM)
L.E.D. Lights anywhere on the body!
Widget (Alternate way to unlock: Earn 50 participation points)
Attach any widget to your evoloon (radar/grapple/toaster/anything mechanical or electrical)
Monster
To have access to the Monster quests you must have drawn your evoloon angry at least once.If you own a Monster Ancient, the Monster category is unlocked for all your Evoloons automatically.

In order to earn 1 of the Monster Rank 1 Upgrades, you need to gather 1 quest point: Quest BoardBone Limbs (Alternate way to unlock: For every month you go WITHOUT drawing your evoloon you can change one limb to a bone limb)
Partially or completely change one limb to a bone limb. Includes leg, neck, wing or tail.
If you do quests to remove a limb, you need to gather one quest point for each limb you want to remove.
