If you did a background like the first example image, you will not lose the magic from it. But for all future art posted after this journal, backgrounds like this will not give you magic anymore.
Info: To get the 10 Magic your background needs to show more depth than example 2, and have shading and details (not shown in examples).
The art needs to have min. two depth layers (among those): foreground

It's up to you to grant yourself the proper amount of magic for your background, given the effort you've actually put in, if you feel that our bare minimum seems to too low. Because we have minimum requirements to fit all skill levels, it doesn't mean that you can't set the minimum higher for your own art.
