This Trial is Magic-based!
“I’ve heard Evoloons that have seen the star have had their wishes granted!”
“I heard that every Evoloon who touched the star gained magical powers!”
“I was told that anyone who went near it had visions of the future!”
“That’s all nonsense; I heard it gives unlimited knowledge.”
Filled to the brim with curiosity, your Evoloon(s) decided the best way to find out what it does, was to go there themselves! It’s probably just some piece of space-rock…. But what if it was magical? Spark Mountains is already a magical place, so the chances must not be too bad, right?
Rules:
A maximum of 6 Evoloons per-trial can get rewards.... you can still include more if you like, but they will not get rewards. All Evoloons going for rewards must follow the Visibility Rule. Only Evoloons that you own can get rewards, but Evoloons not owned by you will still grant gift magic. All drawings/panels must have a unique background following our Background rules (you cannot reuse the same background twice) and must be fully colored. Sketches are not allowed. Shading is optional! If you are doing one full comic strip, your Evoloon(s) need to follow the Visibility Rule at least once each part. Which means: Once for the beginning scene, once for each prompt, and once in the ending scene. This trial can be repeated as many times as you like, even using the same Evoloons! You can choose the order of the drawings and which ones you draw, with the exception of the starting and ending pieces. (This Trial is Re-playable four times without doing anything twice!) You do not need to go off the Scene prompts, they’re just there to help you get an idea! This can be done in a comic/panel format, separate pictures, or written! - Make sure to label you pictures with the “Trial of Stars”
- If this is done in separate pictures or parts, you must also list in the title what part it is (ie, Trial of Stars- Part 1) and link previous parts in the description.
- If you are completing this a second time (or more), just add the corresponding number behind the title. (ie, Trial of Stars 2- Part 1)
- Written works must be 350 words per part, or 2,100 words for a combined piece.
The Journey Begins.
Draw your Evoloon(s) deciding to go see the Star.
Did they see the Star fall for themselves? What do they think it could be? Where did they hear all these rumours? Are they packing anything? Is it a long travel to the Spark Mountains for them? Do they hope for something that this ‘magical star’ could do?
If you're repeating the trial, is it another star? Are they remembering their last journey? Are they thinking about visiting the mountain or other locations again?
As long as your Evoloon(s) is in the picture, you can draw anything from your Evoloon watching it fall from the sky to them thinking about potential super-powers! Just make sure to show that your picture is related to this trial!!
A Long Path Ahead; Choose four scenes to draw!
Draw your Evoloon(s) caught in an unusual storm!
Scene Prompt; Storm clouds quickly begin to form in the area, pelting your Evoloon(s) with rain before they could hide away for cover. What started as a normal storm however quickly turned into something that your Evoloon(s) has never seen before. The clouds shift colours from their normal dark grey and the rain seems to change along with it!
Draw your Evoloon(s) lost in the Starfruit Forest!
Scene Prompt; Starfruit Forest can be beautiful while the trees bare their sparkling fruit… however it’s incredibly dark every other time of the year. The trees appear black, and there’s barely any light is coming though the gaps of the leaves…simple put- Your Evoloon(s) seems to be lost.
Draw your Evoloon(s) seeing a very unique rock…. again...and again...
Scene Prompt; Traveling was going perfectly!.... Or so your Evoloon(s) thought. They’re positive they’ve past this rock now at least twice already- it’s rather unique looking, so there’s no doubting it.
Draw your Evoloon(s) at the Tranquil Falls.
Scene Prompt; No better spot to rest then at the Tranquil Falls. Your Evoloon(s) can even spot some gems from Sparks Mountain resting at the bottom of the lake near the falls. They glint and shimmer as the falls plummet into the water.
Draw your Evoloon(s) at the Celestial Plains.
Scene Prompt; The tall grass and flowers are a site to see at the Plains. Feral Fuzzbuzzies also seem to come out of the Starfruit forest to drink nectar from the flowers here. It’s incredibly serene, but the grass seems tall enough that it would easily hide a Loonling… or something else.
Draw your Evoloon(s) climbing up Sparks Mountain.
Scene Prompt; Sparks Mountain is rumoured to be one of the most magic-rich places in all of Loonia, and the outer reaches of the mountain is no exception. The veins of gems are ever-prominent, glittering both in sunshine and moonlight.
Draw your Evoloon(s) traveling inside Sparks Mountain.
Scene Prompt; Sparks Mountain is rumoured to be one of the most magic-rich places in all of Loonia; there’s caverns filled with dazzling gems and hidden creatures! Some have even seen magical floating lights inside the caves. Who knows what your Evoloon(s) will find!
Draw your Evoloon(s) following a river.
Scene Prompt; There are many rivers that flow through Loonia, and even a few that flow out of Spark Mountains! Following a river to the mountains should be a piece of cake… assuming nothing unexpected happens.
Draw your Evoloon(s) coming across a circle of mushrooms!
Scene Prompt; Passing through the forest, your Evoloon(s) come across a small clearing with a ring of mushrooms. While it’s neat at first, it quickly becomes almost eerie…. Where did the chirp of the birds go? Or any sound for the matter?
Draw your Evoloon(s) finding strange glowing runes.
Scene Prompt; Your Evoloon(s) starts seeing strange glowing markings on things in the surrounding area. Some are hidden, just sitting on small rocks near the bushes, while others almost appeared carved into the trees. What are these?
Draw your Evoloon(s) following a trail of fireflies.
Scene Prompt; Your Evoloon(s) start to notice the odd firefly flying around. Following some with their eyes, they see what almost looks like a trail of them. Are the fireflies leading them somewhere?
Draw your Evoloon(s) having a food break.
Scene Prompt; Noticing the plentiful berry bushes in the area makes your Evoloon(s) stomach growl. There’s also some fruit and mushrooms in the area…. hopefully something here is edible.
Draw your Evoloon(s) finding a pack of feral companions!
Scene Prompt; Normally, feral companions are very skiddish and hide away from new Evoloons, but this pack of ferals don’t seem to mind your Evoloon(s) at all and just carry on with what they’re doing! Don’t get too close though, they’re still feral and completely unpredictable.
Draw your Evoloon(s) stumbling upon a white stag!
Scene Prompt; Your Evoloon(s) were just walking along, continuing along their way, when a large white stag stepped out from behind some bushes! It stares at your Evoloon(s). Does it want something? Maybe it’s assessing the situation?
Draw your Evoloon(s) stumbling upon… a moving plant?!
Scene Prompt; The forests in the area must be taking a toll on your Evoloon(s)….. they’re sure they saw some plants moving. In fact, one almost looked like it leaned over to another as if it was whispering!
Draw your Evoloon(s) stopping by the Pool of Stars.
Scene Prompt; The Pool of Stars is incredibly crystal clear and sits perfectly still. It looks as if it’s gone untouched for centuries. The water mirrors your Evoloon(s) reflection perfectly when they approach.
An End to the Mystery?
Finally, your Evoloon(s) reaches the location of the star and they see a faint light emitting from the mouth of a cave before them. Inside the cave, the ceiling had clearly been smashed though; bringing in a ray of light that landed directly on the ‘star’. This strange ‘star’ seems like it has the entire cosmos in it… sporting mainly shades of blues and purples but even having some freckling of pink ,red ,yellow hues. The lighting coming in from the roof and hitting the 'star' makes the entire inside cavern dance with colours.
As breathtaking as a sight it is….. nothing magical happened. In fact, it seems to just be some form of space-mineral. How disappointing….Leaving the cave, your Evoloon(s) find gifts at the cave entrance. There’s no notes, or any form of wrapping, but it is very clearly a gift left there for your Evoloon(s)…. matching their personal tastes and everything!
Perhaps there is some kind of magic here…?
Draw a picture of your Evoloon(s) that relates to this final story bit.
Are they in the cave? By the ‘star’? Finding their gift? Leaving or approaching the Area (the cave mouth would still need to be seen if it’s in the distance.)?

How auto-rolling works: If you won a Travis for Hire Ticket. The ticket would be rolled for rewards. If it gave you a Mineral Covered Egg, the egg would then be rolled and you would get the end result. ie) A Pretty Decorative Egg.
