And What A Bitter Sweet Symphony it Was

“I can change, I can change,” I can still remember the man chanting. I don’t remember his face or the clothes he was wearing. I can’t be certain if I ever actually knew his name to begin with. Less clear to me was whether he meant those words or if he was just parroting off of the “Bitter Sweet Symphony” music video that had played on the TV hours earlier. Years later, his mantra still strikes me clearer than any of the other fuzzy memories of that fever-dream of a few days in that psychiatric ward. I was there because of my own inner turmoil, an emotional break that had occurred just after my 18th birthday. I was technically an ...

I Love You

I won't let us fall, I won't let us break. I don't care how much work, How much shit we have to take. You're mine, and I'm yours, And we'll be together, I promise. We'll be happy, and free, It'll be everything we want: just us. Keep these words in your heart, And don't forget my love. For I love you above all else, You're the person I've been dreaming of. Even when times get difficult, I'll be there for you always. Trust me and my heart, Because my heart never betrays.

Twilight Wolf Ch1

Twilight Wolf Chapter 1: The Beginning"Chips, will you shut up!" I growled for the hundredth time that day. He was going on and on about how he was raised with class and dignity, and how I should call him by his proper name. Something I have refused to do since I met him. "I just don't understand why you cannot call me Chipsworth, Akira. It is my name. Chips sounds like rubbish. I am not rubbish, I tell you!" he blabbered on, as usual. "Well you sure sound like it! Now shut up before I come up with even more demeaning names for you." I narrowed on my eyes, knowing he would shut up. I didn't bluff, and he knew that. Plus I was of great wit,...

My Bio

Hey! You visited my profile! You must be an awesome person. Because you are awesome, I must tell you some things about myself, because I am another awesome person (wink wink, just go with it). I'm 19, and I'm a Sailor in the US Navy, waiting to start my aviation training.

I'm married to the love of my life, and for now, I get to spend my days cleaning (yay Navy!), and, after work, spending time with my husband.

Other than that, I love to read, write, watch movies and find crazy stuff to do. I'm always on the go, but I do try to find time to smell the roses... at least when I'm not walking faster than I can smell.

It's Been Awhile...

0 min read

/me Dusts off my ol' dA accountWell hello there! It looks like I haven't touched this account in about 3 years or so... It has been quite a busy 3 years. So, where to start... Still in the Navy! It's been 4 years, and yup, still employed by the GREAT US government (just smile and nod, they're watching us :D). And with 4 years in the Navy, that means I've been married for over 4 years. Yay! We haven't started hating each other yet, so apparently something must be wrong with us. But it's okay :D Currently living out of Washington state, and I love it there! I'm not home right now due to Navy training, but I'm excited to get back! I'm hoping ...

A Nice Life

0 min read

During my annual reflection of my life, I'm glad to say that it's been a good year, and I'm fairly happy with the life I'm living right now. Though I will admit that for the most part, I detest my job, the rest of my life is pretty happy. Dave's chugging along in school, we have a nice home, two (for the most part) good dogs, a reliable car, and no debt. We have a lot of nice things, and we've been lucky enough to be able to time the purchases in a way that allowed us to pay for them outright. We don't have a lot of money, but we pay our bills, feed ourselves, and sometimes have enough leftover to treat ourselves. I also got promoted (I'm ...

New Life in Washington

0 min read

For starters, my detour to California took a couple months longer than I expected; I was sent to more school in the middle of nowhere, Lemoore, CA. It sucked. But we've been in Washington for several months now, and it's great. We love it here, at least so far. We ended up getting another dog about a week before we left Florida. She is Pixel, a pointer mix, about a year and a half old, and she's been great for Cyrus. While we were still in California on vacation, we were able to choose our new home, and instead of getting an apartment or duplex, we ended up with a 3 bedroom house with a yard and garage. We have an office and a guest room,...
