it's time for some things to end.

Sun Dec 22, 2013, 11:25 PM

deactivated all my listings on etsy, put in storage some of the crafts I posted here until I have time at a later date to manually delete them individually.
tired of paying a middle man for nothing. haven't had a sale in nearly a year, so either I'm crap at what I make, or people hate what I make...probably a bit of both. not wasting my time on it anymore.

that is all.

Triumvirate of Inspiration Feature

Journal Entry: Sun Jan 20, 2013, 1:47 PM

That's right bitches! :iconfuckyeaplz: I'm one of the cool kids, took 40 years to get to the club, but I'm in it now, can't kick me out :nana:

40th rolled in with a big windstorm, we were prepared as we could possibly be in case we lost power.....kind of disappointed that the power flickered twice and that was it. I mean come on! be stormy, knock the power out, we're ready! But of course since we were ready nothing exciting happened. pfft
mr. kathy got out of bed around 3 am, we walked outside to feel the wind, we taunted it, kind of felt like Lt. Dan from Forrest Gump, saying " IS THAT ALL YOU GOT!"......apparently it was :giggle:
maybe we'll get lucky later today :paranoid: lol suppose to snow this week...we'll see :sherlock:

Thank you all for the b-day wishes
In light of the tragedy that took place in the elementary school in Connecticut, the masses around the world are once again screaming for out right ban of guns.

One this is not about gun control, as we have a fuck ton of laws restricting guns, what you can own, who can have them so on.

Two, why has no one addressed the issue that the 20 year old "forced" his way into a school that had a security system in place that made people be "buzzed" in. Should we not be screaming for the head of the person who while most likely scared out of their wits, did help him get into that school? Extreme and harsh yes, and while possibly having a gun pointed at you, your choices are limited and  self preservation instincts kick in, the fact is, they still had a choice to NOT let that person in, and perhaps saving many many lives.

Three, the world has been making lists of all the school shootings that have happened in the US starting in the 60's and 70's, while only two actually occurred, one being in kent, ohio and the shootings happened from the national guard, the other in texas at a university, by an ex marine. the rest didn't happen until the 90's when guns laws became more restrictive and "gun free zones" were put in place nation wide.

Four, why has no one addressed the gender issue in this as well, or at least why has no one started "studies" on this...every one of those shootings were committed by teenage boys/young adult males? This is actually quite significant and yet no one even acknowledges it.

When I was in school we didn't have gun free zones, we didn't have school shootings ever! rarely we would hear about a kid bringing a knife to school and that was about it. fights were settled with fists, bullying did not result in suicide.

There are a lot of psychological mitigating factors with the school shootings the last twenty years and they are not being  dealt with, much less acknowledged. Instead we sweep them all under the rug with the broad and rash brush of gun control or ban.
People hell bent on causing society harm can and will find any way possible to do it. These are not preventable. Laws are not put into place to deter crime, or prevent crime by any means. Laws are made to punish, that is all. You break a law that society has in place to protect itself, it gives you time in jail/prison/mental institution, it's penance that is to be made, that is why we have laws.

Gun bans, and more control do fuck all if they are not being enforced properly, by punishing those that break the laws.

Also, can the world STOP shitting on the shooters brother....jesus fucking christ on a flaming pogo stick, talk about a damn witch hunt. The older brother is just as much of a victim as the kids that died yesterday. He lost his mother at the hands of his brother, he lost his brother and now has to live with the horrific aftermath of what his brother did, not to mention when the masses started screaming for his head without knowing the fucking facts. His life is forever ruined by the actions of his brother, he deserves some of your selectively dished out sympathy as well.

I have heard literally every argument for and against control and bans, so if you're gonna take the piss out of me for what I've said, make sure you bring an argument to the table that is logical, sound, not based on emotion and original.

Keep your emotions in check, use logic and reason.
now that I have your undivided attention, or at least I should have it!

the rage is being buried, it's what I do best. No creative way to express it without ending up in prison

I know the next few months will bring  more "get fucked royally by the family" moments....they are inevitable. Some people are capable of change, many are not. My family is exemplary in the not being fussed with evolving to become better versions of who they were.

If you have family that has been good to you, and you to them, I envy you, I truly do. I have NO idea what it's like to have a family that is loving and supportive.

<becoming comfortably numb>

sorry for being a whinging bitch
a bit too much rage is coursing through my veins at this very moment.
My grandmother died on the 7th, ( why I posted the last journal saying the 6th, ugh, fail ) and her funeral is this coming saturday. My estranged mother emailed me to let me know she died, but couldn't be bothered to let me know of her funeral? THE FUCK IS THIS SHIT?

guess how I found out about the funeral....ONLINE! I had to fucking look it up! Oddly i'm not surprised I had too 0_o

my mother sends me an email saying that our family is dysfunctional but that doesn't mean that I'm not loved, then sends the last email telling me "luv no matter what"....REALLY? no...REALLY! You don't get to be a hateful abusive cunt and then say you love me in some obscure way, then turn around and not fucking tell me of my grandmothers funeral!

so much rage, it's nearly 3 in the morning, and no way to purge it........
got an email from my mother informing me that my grandma died at 4 a.m. november 6th.

her pain and suffering is finally over.

i have nothing more to say as my head is in a pretty fucked up place right now :(

Life is AMAZING.....

Journal Entry: Mon Oct 22, 2012, 11:54 PM
Through someone else's eyes!

It's been almost a week since Preludium arrived in America, and so far it's been a blast!
Seeing my own country, state, and town through the eyes of someone else, is amazing! To be able to confirm, or deny perceptions. To know my country has been marketed to others on such an interesting scale through film/movies. To be able to say, no we're not like that, or yes we're quite like that. The language barrier is minimal, and I learned I talk way too fast ( mostly due to being excited, and never talking to anyone in real life), but I am trying to make a conscience effort to slow it down :giggle:

So far, we have visited my state capital, had an unofficial tour, got to stand in the House Gallery of our legislature, learned much about politics in my own state, and learned I do have a damn good grasp of the process. and holy fucking shit! the capital building is GRANDIOSE, and rather audacious, however I can understand why, prosperity. but I digress.....

we have also visited the pumpkin patch and she was in heaven! made pumpkin seeds, and home made pumpkin bread ( to die for! ). we're taking her to the indian reservation tomorrow, and then to show her what white trailer trash is, just about what you see in the movies, at least in my parts lol

soon we'll be hitting up westport, washington. on a quest for lighthouses :excited:
then maybe a trip to Pike Place Market, walk along the waterfront, watch the ferries etc. so much to do!

oh! I think we'll have to return to the capital building! I want to head over to the "Temple of Justice" and see where my states supreme court does it's business :excited:

Finally get to meet someone from da

Journal Entry: Tue Oct 16, 2012, 4:09 PM
Today, in about 2 hours my friend Preludium will be landing in Seattle :excited: flying all the way from Norway, to come stay with me :icondweebdanceplz:

I only have one small fear, that she'll run screaming when she realizes how unawesome I am in real life

we've been talking about this on and off for nearly 5 years, and FINALLY it's happening :excited:

there are places to go, see and photograph, so hopefully I'll have some new stock up soon, and some film stock too :D

now I just need to meet JillAuville and i'll be able to die happeh :iconflowerdanceplz:

This account will now be officially a stock and resources account as I still will not post personal work here.

so your devwatch will be flooded, but we have stacks so you can just delete when you see my name

All-About-Film.......It's back!!!!

Journal Entry: Sat Apr 28, 2012, 3:01 PM
JillAuville and I decided to bring back to life All-About-Film.

not here though...somewhere where we can actually fucking interact with our members!!

Flickr! running a group there is far more easy, so much less convoluted.

so if you have a flick account, come join us!!

rules are epically and camera information.

no porn

no digital and especially no cell phone pics lol

we allow 5 submissions per day  and have again NO quality control, although we do ask you submit your best, or what you are the most proud of ;)

feel free to start discussions, share your list of cameras, share tips, tricks and tried and true techniques :squee:

Group Closing + Last Feature

Journal Entry: Mon Mar 5, 2012, 3:08 PM
All good things must come to and end.

After much contemplation I have decided to close All-About-Film
It's been a fun ride, my fellow admins and myself have learned a great deal just from reading members descriptions. My husbands bank account didn't see it that way when I added around 20 more cameras to my collection :giggle:

I would not have been able to keep this group going the last two years if it hadn't have been for two exceptional people.
nummerni and JillAuville .  They kept this group going when I was not able to be online. They kept me sane. I am honored to have worked with both, to have formed a friendship with them, which has spilled into the real world. I would be lost without them

I was planning on doing a last feature of our members, however I felt that a special feature of two of the hardest working and wonderful artists/people I have had the pleasure to work with is for more appropriate.

Steve and Jill, you two cool cats rock! :headbang: Thank you for your time, and for your friendship.

As of the moment this journal is published, I will be closing down submissions. By friday this group will contain nothing and will send in a request for permanent closure.  You can either remove your own work and yourselves from the group or I'll end up doing it when I delete the galleries.

just in case someone(s), this group will not be turned over to someone else ;)
