Easy Prey

Yay, I'm back to making comics again!

I'm so happy I got this out before October, otherwise I wouldn't have posted any new pictures during the month of September, and I've only missed one month since I've started posting things, I didn't want to make it two.

I was going to make it a speechless comic (would've been my first one), but I think adding dialogue gives it more depth.

This comic is much longer than I would've like it to have been, but I already took a lot of things out at the storyboard phase, and I didn't want to take anymore out.

I'm deeply and madly in love with this comic right now, I'm so happy with the way it turned out.

I've been watching a lot of 'Attack on Titan' lately, and I wanted my lighting, and shading to stand out in a similar way.

I've gotten a lot of comments about Fluttershy not flying away, there are several reasons why I didn't have her fly away, the main one is that Fluttershy isn't a great flyer and I assume dragons are.
I tried to convey the uselessness of her flying away by having the dragon's wings being outstretched while her's were as well.

Edit: Fixed an embarrassing grammatical error.

Don't forget to check out the awesome dubbed version of this comic done by MareBrony: www.youtube.com/watch?v=b0ecgZ…

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic© and it Characters both belong to Hasbro©.

Vision: The Visionary works were outstanding! The setting did give me the feel of eeriness, and oblivious danger. The only problem I have with the visionary works is that the shading looks somewhat odd to me (although this is only my personal opinion). It just seems a bit to blurry. Maybe make it look a tad more solid.
Overall the setting obviously has an impact. (Also great work on the 3 point perspective on the cliff!)

Originality: The original concept was amazing in this comic. Although Flutter x Discord is nothing new, you obviously put thought into this one. Fluttershy is sheepish and probably more prone to get loss, which would make it easy to understand why she's lost. Then Discord is cocky, yet would do anything to protect Fluttershy (in which is presented in this comic along the show itself). And you obviously used a dragon from the show, so that makes it even better so people won't highly question the comic.
Great job!

Technique: Your presentation on the comic's story/storyboard is quite exillerating! You made it quick paced, but not to fast. So the reader knows what's going on. Obviously you put some thought into the story at hand. I would also like to say that I am thrilled to see different shots of characters. For example, the first panel shows Fluttershy running fowards towards the audience yet the second shows a side view. This really does help get a feel of you're comic considering she is in a dangerous situation and she needs help. Also you're use of layers was quite nice as well. (I would also like to point out that you made the dragon move in the distance, which is good. It means it isn't still.)

Impact: You're Impact was very oustanding, especially for a MLP fan comic. Considering MLP doesn't ever really have dark tones or moods (most of the time) this obviously shows that you can change anything to be unsettling. Of course you changed it back to a more happier mood with Discord coming, which was great! I think it's pretty amazing.

All in all, you did a great job. I would totally keep working on bettering yourself in your weaknesses, considering everyone has them.

I would rate this comic a good 9.5 out of 10!
