Hi guys!! >w< So I have an English project that's due at the end of the semester (May-ish) and I chose to do art/photography. What I'm planning to do is get images of places or things that relieve stress/anxiety and/or makes a person just feel more relaxed.
My school is pretty tough, which leads to a lot of the students freaking out about things a lot more than they should be, and I know a few kids who get panic/anxiety attacks.
I have never dealt with anxiety very much before and don't really know what images I should be looking for. I got images that made me feel better, but I want a variety because everyone has different preferences and such.
I want to know what images make you feel better, or what places/items/colors/etc.?
If you have a specific image, please post a link to it!
A lot of times when people have anxiety their therapist might recommend that they make a box of everything they love and when they're having an attack they can find comfort in it, so maybe get a picture of like a shoebox or something with some personal objects in it?
Hey, Evie. (: I have GAD so I think I might be able to help you with this a little. For me, I also find nature pictures soothing, especially warm or bright ones with flowers or the sky or autumn leaves or things like that. Personally, I also find pictures of comfy "safe" places like a bedroom (because that's my safe spot) to be comforting and pleasing to the eye because it kind of makes me feel safe. Also I find light colors to be calming to look at so blue or light green or yellows or pinks. Message me if you need anything because I'm chill with talking about this~
Blue is often considered to be a soothing colour. Also, try nature images as they are the ones that most people find soothing or relaxing. I'm including an example of an image that I find soothing/ relaxing.
