Description
A vintage paper curtain backdrop like you would see in old Toy Theaters (Paper Theaters) from Victorian times.
I could not resist playing around with colorizing it a bit and this is one of the variations I came up with.
I'm assuming the original was a bright red curtain with gold trim and I tried to create a curtain that would reflect that with this rendition. (The image I started with is a muted rusty red and faded gold).

UPDATE 08/10/12 - I just found out this curtain is not from a toy theater but it is a vintage (late 1800's) painted curtain in a real theater - The Palais Garnier (an Opera House in Paris) and it's amazing!

This backdrop is the most beautiful and rich I've ever seen, and I've seen a lot.
