God’s Plan… What the Fuck? by p.b. wells They tell me it’s God’s Plan like that’s supposed to tuck me in at night and make the sirens sound like lullabies. God’s Plan. Yeah. What a slick little excuse for every filthy thing that happens when nobody wants to admit we’re drowning in a rigged game. Look around. This “plan” is a busted streetlight flickering over a parking lot where somebody’s screaming for help and nobody comes because they’re “staying out of it.” Babies get born into hell with a hospital bracelet and a welcome-to-the-grind smile they haven’t even earned yet. Good people get chewed up like dollar store gum stuck under the table where the saints pretend they don’t look. The cruel ones? They walk around polished like shiny shoes on Sunday, talking about blessings while stepping on necks and calling it “success.” And we’re supposed to nod and swallow it and say, “Thank you, Lord, may I have another?” What the fuck is He thinking?
