Framed Faux-Paint Zelda ~ (The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess)
Available as non-framed prints and posters over on RedBubble

New and improved! :la: Because nothing says "you are important to the story" better than a hand-painted portrait in a snazzy carved frame! I am a dummy!

About the Piece:

The decision to "upgrade" my prior Faux-Paint portrait pieces of Princess Zelda and Midna came after completing Faux-Paint Fi which turned out to be a much more dramatic rendition of these new-meets-old gaming portraits. Throughout numerous games of the Legend of Zelda franchise, there are times where you will see framed images hanging on the walls of Hyrule Castle and other important locations; I wanted these new, upgraded versions to kind of be like those. Thanks to some additional detailing and awesome frame stock from EveyD, I was able to give this portrait of Princess Zelda in Twilight Princess a bit of a make-over. I took the original Faux-Paint Zelda (from Nov 6th, 2013) and went back over it with added shadows, highlights, and gradients to give it more dimension and drama. I like this version even more than the original: I love dramatic imagery! I feel like this portrait is worthy of hanging in the great halls of Hyrule Castle and I hope other Zelda fans agree, too. ;)

Thanks to :iconeveyd: EveyD for her picture frame stock here: fav.me/d50t96j

So incredibly beautiful, and I love the colors and tones a lot.  Really enjoy how you aimed to create a look that would fit into the world of Hyrule, to be even possibly adorned along the walls of the temple itself!  Which, in all honesty I must say it's very much worthy of such a place!  :)  Do you by chance sell prints?  Cause I would enjoy a print of this very much, love the simple look but still the lines, curves and shapes are all so well done and gorgeous.   :)   Amazing work, and I really wish you the best for your upcoming projects and creations!

Wow, thank you so much for such an incredible compliment! :la: As a fellow LOZ fan, I'm really flattered you think it would be worthy of hanging in the temple - that's about as high of a compliment as it can get! :dummy: As an artist, I'm flattered you like it enough to want a print of it. :faint: I unfortunately cannot sell prints via dA as they are [excessively] strict with potential copyright issues. I do, however, sell prints (and many other products) of pretty much everything via my RedBubble store. To be honest, I didn't think anyone would really want a print of these portraits, but since you asked I can absolutely upload this and the others to the RB store if you're still interested. ;) Whether you buy one or not, your words really brought a smile to my face and gave me motivation to finish the Midna one today, as well. :D Thank you again for your kind words - they mean a lot to me both as a fan and an artist!

You're welcome!  It really does look lovely, and has a calm beauty about it (and much more!) that all help make it a great work of art.  Mainly I feel it's within the great sizing of mass within the piece, love her slender neckline and the boldness of her top dress that seem to help focus the attention to her face.  Also, I especially like the soft choice of color combinations within the whole piece that you used, really brings the shading out and makes the contrasts very nice to observe!  ;D

Have always wanted to do a Wind Waker stained-glass art in respect to the look and feel of the Legend of Zelda game environment and series, so it's definitely a pleasure to see an artist creating LOZ wall art!  :D  Had taken a look at your site, and wanted to thank you for adding it as an available print as well.  Would it be possible to maybe have an un-framed, original version available as a print also?  I don't mean to sound rude, cause honestly I love the way this frame looks along with the art, it's just I'm thinking of having it framed and it may look odd with a double-frame thingy going on.  Although I can perhaps find a lovely matching frame, but it may be tough with the proportions.  Idk, sorry to be a bug haha I love it either way!  ^_^

Thanks again for the kind response and looking forward to owning a print soon!  :)

I apologize for the delay in uploading the non-framed version, but I have it up over at my RB store now :) You brought up a great point that I hadn't really thought about in regards to double frames so I have to thank you for bringing it to my attention. ;) I'll offer prints of both versions of these pieces since some people not want/be able to find a really intricately carved frame to put the piece in and would rather just put the piece in a slim black frame or none at all. The non-framed version has prints available from 8x12 all the way up to posters at 21x33 which is pretty large. If you end up buying one, I'd love to hear what size you get and what you think of the product in person. I really appreciate your detailed comments and feedback about the piece. I love hearing opinions from fellow Zelda fans and talking about the art. That's why I make these pieces in the first place! :D So thank you so much again for your complimentary words and feedback!

Not a problem at all, I do agree with you and honestly really like how it looks with the frame, so it's good to read you'll be keeping that one available.  ;D  Definitely going with a fine-quality print and chose the medium 12"x18" cause I love that size a lot.  Also went with the metallic option for extra beauty!  :D  This day must be my lucky one as well cause they have free shipping on orders!! /woot!

Thank you again for the kind response and for making this artwork avail to buy, should be here within a few days and will let you know how it goes! Look forward to seeing more of your artwork to come, including this twilight princess Midna artwork you spoke of!  ;)

haha You are so very welcome and I have to thank you for purchasing a print. :la: I really hope you enjoy it and it meets your expectations. I'd love to hear what you think when you get it home. I'm incredibly thankful for your support and I hope you enjoy my future pieces, too. ;) The Midna portrait is a bit different but then again all three portraits are quite different from one another. You can check it out over here if you like. :) Thank you so much again for your purchase and your amazingly kind words! :worship:

Thank you just the same for making the artwork for me to even purchase as a print!  ;D  By the way I truly love your Midna portrait incredibly.. Quite beautiful rendition, and am even thinking about picking up a print of her as well haha cause I really think the two would look beautiful together within the same home.  :D

Really enjoy your artwork a lot and certainly hope the best for you and your creations.  Appreciate how much thought you feel to put into your work, and especially in staying true or in honor/respect of the original Zelda world.   :)
