I've seen a few pictures of this costume pop up on here and I have to say, good sir, it looks awesome. All the colours go very well with the costume and the coat is beautiful. It almost looks like it was made from a similar pattern as mine, though my sleeve cuffs are shaped a little differently. Very good job on this if I haven't said it before.

Thanks so much lol! That's actually my fiance in the get up as I'm the one who makes all the costumes. And I believe the pattern I used was a Jack Sparrow pattern.

Very cool, the pattern I used was a "Jack Sparrow" pattern from Simplicity, one of my friends helped me make my coat, since she's going to college for fashion design. She made it and I did all the detailing on it and figured out the alterations that had to be made, we were trying to recreate Hook's red coat from the 2003 movie as best as we could, haha. But very nice, I love it! Are the designs on the sleeve cuffs embroidered? I'm trying to find where I can get that done with my coat.

Ya I'm pretty sure that was the same pattern. I was in a hurry and didn't want to bother with altering or creating patterns. As for the sleeves I wish I could embroider but I can't so I used a trim/applique.

Haha, nice. I kept my pattern pieces, I really want to make another coat with it, I liked the way it's designed. Well, you did a great job on it, it looks awesome!
