Madalyn McLeod is a fantasy artist living in the mountains of Asheville, NC. She takes inspiration from nature, folklore and fairy tales to create ethereal paintings using watercolor, gouache, colored pencil and ink. Her work is characterized by flowing line art, femininity, and moody atmosphere.
She grew up in North Carolina, and spent a lot of time reading and drawing throughout her childhood. She received a BFA in illustration from East Carolina University in 2013, and since then, she has been working on a body of personal artwork, illustrating books, and showing at local galleries. She understands the world is often dark, and wants to bring a little magic into it.
Thanks so much! I haven't has as much time as I would like lately, but I've started painting more regularly in the last week. Glad you like what I do.
Hi Madalyn, it's me again. I just wanted to ask you if I ever posted a story about my sylph that I drew, even if it was inspired by yours, would that be okay with you?
