Gallery Exchange- Photojournalism: Telling a Story
Photojournalism: Telling a Story Beyond Words.

When I think of Photojournalism, I think of rhapsouldize She has mentored me in the art of capturing a complete story within a photographic image and if not the complete story enough of a teaser to make me want to delve into what is going on.
This month I had the honor to see how  Ghouldaddy would answer some of my most basic questions about Photojournalism. He is currently the
Gallery Director for Photojournalism as well as the Gallery Director for Pin-Ups. Being a Gallery Director myself, I can say that is a huge amount of work for one person.
He is a very talented artist/Photographer and one I have watched since the beginning of my dA Experience. He will be giving up his Photojournalism post and focus completely on Pin-Ups. Since he is leaving Photojournalism soon, I have found myself extremely fortunate to have this opportunity.

A - Artistic Nudes
Aaahh... what better to start off our ABCs with some nekkid photos... Artistic Nude's popularity has somewhat increased in the past 7 years of deviantArt's history. Photos of flesh not only excites, turns on, and make us get off (depending on how pervy one gets), it also shows the intricacies of how much details we see in each different human body with no strings attached. Artistic nudity does not reflect on porn

A - Agency
Are you affiliated with somebody in the media? No? Find one if you're truly aspiring to be a photojournalist. In any industry, you'll start from scratch, taking photographs of opening ceremonies, cheque presentations, traffic report, political speeches, and all those other mundane stuffs. Work your way up the ladder by proving yourself if you actually land a stint with the press. May take 4 to 6 years before you or your editor find the potential of working your own headlines. However, if you're on your own, you can either outsource yourself like what Peter Parker did in Spiderman, selling your photographs (as what CNN would call iReporters) to a pre

A - Aperture
Commonly newbies would either flip out their gears and start with P mode. Get out of that Pansy mode! Shoot at F/5.6, or anywhere between F/4 to F/8. Control your camera as well as the environment you're in. Don't shy away and let the camera control you.
B - Balls
For the guys. For the ladies, think of owning a pair. Street photography is like being a photojournalist if you wish to be a voice of the society. Thus, knowing how to have the balls to go up to some old men eating chow mien in the middle of the street and take their photos take practice. You either act as a tourist, or

Street and Photojournalism, a comprehensive guide.
Street photography in it self is quite confusing..  I mean, signs, lights, cars, etc..  They are all on the street, so they are street right?
Wrong.
Street is a little more complex, and back in the beginning was given an unfortunate name that many people dont understand.
Street photography is a type of documentary photography that usually features people in candid situations in public places such as streets, parks, beaches, malls, political conventions, and other settings.
A few examples of street:
The subject is obviously aware of the camera in his face, but the difference between this being street, or being a portrait, is the way the subject interacts with the scene.  It is not posed, not rehearsed, and MyPrivateParty's subject has just be chance, come down the street, not expecting to be photographed.

MIND THE TITLE!
MIND THE TITLE!
Sometimes we don't pay attention to the titles of deviations here on dA.
But I believe that a title can speak about the deepest emotions of an artist.
And sometimes, if we only take a sec to read and connect words and pictures... We can find the most amazing art.
So let's watch more deeply the following pictures by reading the titles!

First Tryout with My B.I.T.C.H

Sun Nov 1, 2015, 6:56 PM
ICYMI, I am trying out as an appophonic phoneographer. I have rigged my iPhone 6 Plus with a BeastGrip Pro and a few other fancy schmancies like stabilizer, microphone and an LED light, plus a sexy looking deviantART camera strap.

But... "BITCH"? :o.O:

Yeah... my Badass Iphone Tank-like Camera Housing. Hurhurr. I've done a video last August without the BeastGrip and boy was it horridly shaky! Since my Sony camera died in June, rather than getting a new one, I thought I'd try my hands on being another one of those iPhone Photo/Videographer wannabe. So here's what I did last Tuesday:

My fiancee and I were invited to the exclusive media preview and press conference of TOTEM by Cirque du Soleil on October 27 2015, a day ahead of the main opening show at the Big Top on Bayfront Avenue beside Marina Bay Sands, Singapore. The preview introduced two signature scenes of TOTEM: the Native American Hoop Dance & the Russian Bars. We will be watching the main show's finale on December 6 2015.

Video recorded on iPhone 6+ with Beastgrip Pro, edited using iMovie on iPad Mini 3. Music: Omé Yo Kanoubé, ‪TOTEM‬

What do you think? I'm gonna keep learning how to do those Buzzfeed or Mashable type videos while continue to take photos with my iPhone along the way. :boogie:
