Amerasu Shipborn by EvaneyReddeman Amerasu Shipborn by EvaneyReddeman
Another one of the Sithi from Tad William's Memory, Sorrow and Thorn trilogy. Amerasu is called "First Grandmother," she's one of the oldest and wisest of the Sithi, and rather melancholy (to my mind). But she's beautiful and powerful and i hope this picture captures some of that.

I worked her face quite a bit in pencil before i finished up the drawing with pen and colored pencil. I feel bad submitting so much fanart...but i'll get around to scanning some of my original stuff soon.

Awesome! A very good Amerasu. There's a sort of roundness to her cheeks that humanizes her a bit out of that Sithi alienness, but the regal sadness and wisdom is very well captured.

Some other MST ideas that just came to mind: Lika'meya and Shima’onari presiding over a Sithi gathering... or the tree of butterflies in Jao é-Tinukai'i... or the ride of the Sithi as they went to help the Hernystiri at Hernysadharc...

Anyway, great work! Love your stuff.

The Sithi riding to Herntsadharc would be awesome. It would take weeks, though. What I really want to draw is Aditu and Simon playing...what was the name of the Sithi board game? Yes, that. Anyway...

Glad you like this. Regal sadness is one of my favorite emotions to draw, I think, although it's one of the hardest (for me, at least). So I'm glad it comes across well.

Shent. The name of the game is shent. ^^ If you do draw that it would be awesome to see!

Don't worry about it. Fanarts natural when it comes to fans so I think it's perfectly okay. By the way I've never heard of Tad William's trilogy, but I think this pictures really cool. When I did first see this picture I thought she did look wise and I really like it.
