Built my own Kilimanjaro class dreadnought. I had previously used the model from the ME3 Game-Files, but unfortunately it has very poor textures. So i start fresh from the beginning and made complete new textures and model parts. I used some parts from the Cruiser model for the details. The model is still not complete. I will add some weapon systems, such as the broadside guns and visible smaller railguns for anti-fighter purpose later.

KILIMANJARO CLASS:
In the Reaper War, the Kilimanjaro Dreadnoughts were the heaviest units the Systems Alliance possess. With a near 900 m long Mass Accelerator weapon, multiple Torpedo launchers and 156 Broadside Guns no sane commander would mess with her.
Kilimanjaro ships
were specially built to outmatch every Turian ship the human military faced in the First Contact War. A couple of years, the Kilimanjaro was besides the Salarian or Asari Dreadnoughts the strongest ship class in the Citadel sector until the Turians followed with the new Vulture Dreadnought.
Fleet Admiral Hackett commands the SSV Kilimanjaro during the Reaper War. Captain Hanah Shepard, Mother of Commander Shepard, commands a Kilimanjaro class Dreadnought too, the SSV Orizaba.

well i'd love to see some of the designs i've given to Nach77 in an environment :) but i guess we should ask him if you can borrow the work

I really like Nach's work. I ask him once if he can share some of his great concept models, but he rejected. So i dont ask again.
If you have any closer contact to
persuade him, do it. I would love to create some scenes with his models.

I love this style of ship,  it's definitely visually impressive....however it is more complex than it looks, I haven't been able to replicate the model in several attempts.

Thank you. Was a bit of work.

I bet.....I've tried, and cant even get the basic shape right...so I know how big a pain this particular hull layout can be :D

I had some trouble while building this ship. Still have a little wave on the nose and a break in the main body. And i dont find enough room for all the broadside cannons the codex tells about. 74 on each side.

I think you managed the nose fairly well. My biggest issue was the shape of the sing structures. It is a complex, compound curve which has me stumped. It looks very simple at a glance but the curves in several directions are insanely hard to model.

I have finally figured out the lighted bays/windows problem, Me and texturing are not friends let me tell you....Guess one of these days I am going to actually take some classes on modeling...

If you don't mind, what sort of scale do you start with so you can get the small detailing of a model right. At most scales small detail vanishes rather quickly when I try to do a render and take an image of the entire vessel.

I hating texturing too. I mostly use some textures from the cruiser model as base and redraw some of it.

For scaling i use a smaller scale model. Matching to the other Mass Effect models. Some of the details vanish in the full view but this is ok for me. The original model from the game doesnt have much details such as weapons and so.

In the game the only time you really see any close detail is in a close up...so I imagine they used several different levels of detail to do their shots. they didn't clutter up the lines with outrageously big turrets, and guns.
