Unless you’ve been living in a cave forgotten by our Lord, after years of waiting the first trailer forJurassic World, the sequel to the historical trilogy begun by Steven Spielberg and starring the iconic dinosaurs recreated through engineering genetics, is finally public and is in fact on everyone’s lips. For better or for worse. Although it’s a preview that lasts only a couple of minutes and the film will be released only around June 2015, people feel compelled to criticize the choices made by director Colin Trevorrow and experts like Andrea Cau, Darren Naish, Brian Switek, John Conway, Will Svensen (and many others), alo
Wow this new Eclipse theme is something, isn't it. Anyway,
I've been on dA So Long (12 years?), and my art has changed a lot since I started out. Sometimes I want to come back to dA but end up feeling a little embarrassed about my old stuff--I think it's great that it exists as a record, and some people seem to find value in it, but it's a little too accessible for my tastes. Rather than archive my entire gallery I've decided to leave it up so people can keep coming back to pieces that they do like. But I'm going to start afresh.
I don't know how many of you are still around, but if you're interested in seeing newer work I'll be updating @KeesKiwi gradually with the things I've been doing recently. Check it out!
Hey everyone--I've been having some wrist trouble for the past--geez, it must have been a month and a half now, so I've not been able to spend as much time on the computer and artwork has been a bit spotty. As a consequence I am....very far behind on my inbox, replying to comments/follows and commenting on new artwork alike. I might have to do an inbox flush and start from scratch.
In the meantime, thanks everyone who has decided to follow me recently and given me your support! I'm sorry if I don't have the opportunity to thank you individually.
1. How long have you been on DeviantArt?
8 years apparently! Makes sense in retrospect but good grief. I've had my on and off periods in terms of activity, but I've been around for a while.
2. What does your username mean?
Several years ago I was writing a book about wolves (I know...) and needed a bunch of unique made-up names, so I typed up the alphabet and came up with a name for every single letter so I'd have a good variety. The E name ended up being Etomo, which I ended up being pretty fond of and ended up adopting it for myself. I've since mostly dropped the -mo ending as a name and go by Eto online.
